It definitely isn't a question about the talent, and it's rappers on the west that could fit any image that is "hot" or whatever. It's just...damm I don't feel like gettin into it

I just think that it's not the West Coast turn to shine like it should be. The south is holding the crown now so it's hard for new artist to break into the game. But the shit ain't impossible because Game came from nowhere and became somebody. So I think that it's hard for us right now because nobody is looking at the West Coast like They should. But very very soon the hands of the game will change...

I DEFINITELY don't agree with that....because I go to school in Florida, and they claim the west is dead, our rap sucks nowadays, etc. etc....but I constantly play them new shit they never heard and they are usually feelin it down south, and sometimes from the east. It's people in the south and east who had never heard of Crooked I, heard Ras name but didn't kno shit about him, didn't realize Quik was that great of a producer and that musically inclined, didn't know the Bay had a completely diff style from LA and had some hot ass club music, and that were suprised when I pointed out how much their favorite rappers were influenced by and respected west coast rappers. Most west coast music doesn't get exposed enough to even be heard and rejected and not felt. There are some people who just don't like west coast shit because of the label, but I bet I could put on somethin that they'd be like "damn thats tite...whos that?" and when I tell em it's west coast, they'd try to act like they didn't like it.
