LINK: Soul Khan & Hollow Da Don Freestyle
dope shit. but... freestyle? lol
freestyle means you are improvising. it does not necessarily mean you are making shit up as you go along.
like two peas in a pod.
Id love to hear em both on a track
That second Soul Khan one was disgusting.
yea they both murdered that ish
not really feeling hollow's a Capella but overall this is sickly. lol'd @ khan's face when they're announced as the 2 hottest mcs in the game.
hollow killed the acapella to me they both murked actually...soul khan that dude he be spitting real shit
damn soul khan was ridiculous killed that first beat and the accapella. Hollow was dope too but I think Soul Khan outshined him a bit.
Shit was cool.
SK is a fucking beast.. Big ups.
Damn, this video made the rounds. I wish I had time to do more than just spit (old and new) album shit but I was busy. Soon I will start having a new 16 for every radio and video show. Thanks, y'all.

soul and hollow are some beasts in this shit. i gotta stop sleepin battle rappers music
I liked Hollow's Mourning line
thats actually is what improvising means. a Freestyle is a freeverse. it could be off the head or written for any situation
oh is that what it ACTUALLY means. My bad, i didn't know were using the ACTUAL definition.
freeverse has to be the most retarded term Ive ever heard. that & femcee. why do nerdy subcultures have to add useless slang or change perfectly good definitions. Freestyle & improv are terms used in a wide variety of things like instrumental music, comedy & sports. you dont have to change the meaning for rap. You can kick a freestyle and incorporate adlibs, old stuff from memory, an unreleased verse or quote somebody else, thats freestyle, anything goes.
It's weird hearing SK without the "hold on..hold on..." before an ill line.
Either way, SK bodied both that beat and the acapella.
freeverse is a real literary term dumbass
Kill yourself. I know that its a literary term. I said I hate when definitions are changed for no reason. Free verse poetry or vers libre has VERY LITTLE TO DO with spitting your hottest new 16 over an industry instrumental.
Unless this is what he was talking about in reference to soul khan :
"As the name vers libre suggests, this technique of using more irregular cadences is often said to derive from the practices of 19th-century French poets such as Gustave Kahn and Jules Laforgue in his Derniers vers of 1890. However, in English the sort of cadencing that we now recognize as a variety of free verse can be traced back at least as far as the King James Bible. By referring to Psalms - Wikisource it is possible to argue that free verse in English first appeared in the 1380s in the John Wycliffe translation of the Psalms and was repeated in different form in most biblical translations ever since. Walt Whitman, who based his verse approach on the Bible, was the major precursor for modern poets writing free verse, though they were reluctant to acknowledge his influence."
