I dig him. He's like the drunk wise man giving you knowledge in between shots of jack. His gems are do or die. But when he drops one, it's like gold.

The guy I hate is Harold Lederman. Lamp, Merchant & Manny are always kinda cool with their announcing (though Lamp can get crazy). They kind of had a laid back style, smooth type voices. They'll be like "Lets see how our unofficial ringside scorer has the fight...Harold?" then a nails-on-blackboard voice comes on "I GOT FLOYD LOSING EVERY ROUND! SURE HE'S LANDING MORE...BUT THE OTHER GUY IS DISPLAYING EFFECTIVE AGGRESSIVENESS. THERE'S NO QUESTION!"

Plus Harold's numbers are usually off. He pissed me off when he had Castillo in front of Floyd, and then justified some rounds because of Castillo's "effort" even though he didnt land 1 clean punch the whole round.

I cant stand the showtime team they are so bland....

my favorite is ESPN I love the commentary of joe, teddy atlas, and brian kenny most of the fights are so lame on that show but they give you good announcing.and they are un biased and tell it how it is who won who lost in there eyes...reason being is cause they dont have espn contract fighters like hbo and showtime.

I like his commentary, he can be entertaining, and much more authentic than Roy Jones. He and Manny Stewart disagree at times, which is fun to listen to.

Now, if we're talking about his post fight interviews... then I might agree with you, his slow speech and stammering can be annoying, but good for some comedy.

ESPN is my favorite commentary team, too. Teddy atlas is coo' as is joe. I think uhm.. Al Bernstein's commentary is pretty cool, he's quite knowledgable, imo.
