LMAO....he's been there for what, two years? And they haven't done a damm thing at all.

They will never be anything near Shaq n Kobe, at all. Yao is a good player for what he is, but he'll never be Shaq, Hakeem, D Rob, Ewing, etc. etc. he just doesn't have it in him.

win it all? i would hope so, cuz the spurs, mavs, suns, kings, heat, bulls might have something to say about that, but just havin tmac healthy wont make them win it all, they need to get some better players to surround tmac n yao, once that happens you should tell the opponents to hide the women and children

Last year he was injured...

The 1st year they were still having to adjust and get used to each other...but they still went to the 1st round and lost in game 7 to Dallas...

PPG is definitely important...but Yao hasn't shown that instinct to take over games yet. It seems like he does what he does...and does what he does. I haven't seen enough of him in clutch moments to see how he performs, but I just don'ts ee him having that intensity that the other great centers had.

What an over-statment this thread is, Ming only scored like that because he had to, they had no other option, when hes back being second fiddle he'll level out again, and unless McGriddle invests in icy hot back patches, its gonna be more of the same.

at the end of season (when everyone but yao was injured), he was scoring 30 because he was the only one capable of scoring 15 on that roster. games were fucking brutal to watch. final scores being 71-85 and shit. brahman, a diehard rocket fan, will be the first to tell you that yao would score 10 points in the 4th quarter or something because during the last minutes, the opposing team wouldn't play d and he'd score some putbacks or something.
stats are misleading.

if you wan't to build an argument for why a team will win a title by adding up the roster's combined PPG...you're nothing short of a dope.
