Thats just how I feel. Smart business move. I think Kobe is the oldest person on the team. Those boys are gonna stay together for awhile. Kwame is only 23 and he's just gonna keep on improving. Shaq's game is trash now. Ran out of Diesel

Why are you comparing Kwame to Shaq? I only brought up Kwame cause of his age. There's no comparison really. Kwame will probably never be as dominant as Shaq. Getting rid of Shaq was the best move L.A. did plus he's trash now..Live with it.

Everyones play suffers playing alongside Kobe Bryant. Unless he plays like this during season, doesnt matter who he has. Kobe and Wade would never work style. i'm one of the few that wished Miami never traded for Shaq. i'd be much happier with Caron Butler, Lamar Odom, and D-Wade. they made an excellent trio.

As Ill said.. there's no center on Shaq's level or even close to the level Shaq played with when he was with L.A.

But just for a laugh... Kobe would win a championship with the other "star centers" in todays NBA such as:

Ben Wallace
Zydrunas Illgauskas
Marcus Camby
Yao Ming

I'm not going to count Amare and others I don't feel are "true centers".

Kobe would be capable of winning a title with one of those guys, with Derek Fisher, Devan George and Robert Horry in the lineup?

That almost looks worse than the CURRENT Lakers...

I'm not one to be so quickly sold that Vince or McGrady could win a title in Kobe's place- BUT, it definetly does not go both ways. Shaq was much more of a factor on those teams than KB8.

Lakers clearly got the better end of the deal. Shaq is overpaid and on the decline. He's still capable of being a major factor on a good team right now, but I think his window of opportunity is closing quickly and he's nearing the retirement stage.

Truly, the only way you could say the Lakers really made a huge mistake was IF Shaq was to win a championship in Miami. He hasn't thus far.

A lot of people forget that the Lakers were pretty much mopped badly the last two years with Shaq and he was out of shape. I never thought it was as big of a deal as people made it out to be at the time (OH MY GOD WORST TRADE IN HISTORY BLAH).
