It's serious time now.
I knew Artest was a lock down defender, but Manu Ginobili didn't make the trip out Sacramento.
Tony Parker has had a marvelouse season, but his floor leadership is craptacular for the moment.
If the Spurs are going to rely on his jump shot to win, they won't.
Tony Parker needs to keep driving the lane, get the motion offense going, and start trying to create for everyone, instead of practicing his stroke.
He can do that in the bedroom with Eva or whoever.
But you have to give credit to the Kings and their coaching staff. They have to difficult match ups for the Spurs in Artest and Bonzi and are playing to their strengths.
Fucking Bonzi has been a beast. Somebody please get this man a restraining order because he is beating the shit out of the Spurs on the glass.
I figured the Kings would give the Spurs close games, but I didn't expect them to win 2, and especially in the fasion they have won.
Honestly they have outplayed the Spurs 3 straight games.
It's not time to panic though. The Spurs have been in this situation before and are not liable to panic.
They need to recommit themselves to pounding the glass and getting up on defenders.
That was one of the sorriest games Bowen has had defensive wise in a while. I don't care if Bonzi is bigger, he needs to crowd him regardless.
If the Spurs want to win the next game, they have to attack the paint and pass the ball like they did in game 1. Parker must create for other players. Duncan needs some help on the low block, and Ginobili has to be given a chance to be the playmaker that he is.
I'm predicting a more aggresive Tim Duncan in game 5, look for him to put the Kings bigs in foul trouble early, like he did in game 7 of the NBA finals against Detriot last year. The Spurs need to remember that he is the key to everything they do.
...
They need to
