damn @ LeBron basically ghetting clotheslined. he got hard fouled twice. i think the physicality is getting to him. he's playing a bit off. he's missing shots and making terrible passes.

Varejou (however you spell it) returned the favor to Arenas.

this is turning out to be a good game.

lebron is a ball hog

0 assists, 4 turnovers, in the biggest game of his career so far

kobe would never bail on his team like that

This is the best first round series. The Suns are entertaining, too bad the Lakers blow.

Nets basketball fucking blows, only thing I like about it is Vince posterizations.

10 TO's.

Still 20+ points and 9 rebounds, not bad for an off game.

But Lebron should have tried to hit that three.

Sorta reminds me off when the Lakers walled off the paint from Parker 3 years ago and roughed him up. Player gets tentative. Next game we see how he responds.

Overall worst game of LeBron's career. Interesting how both "worst games of LeBron's career" came against the Wiz.

Brilliant job by the Washington Wizard coaching staff.

I really hope the endless "what LeBron CAN'T do search" doesn't make it's next stop on "he can't take a hit." The guy was a former wideout at Saint V and was recruited for football. In the Dallas game earlier this year, he took two flagrant fouls- MUCH harder than anything that the Wizards did last night. One was from Eric Dampier- who was fined, one from Didler Mbenga whatever the fuck his name is- who was suspended, and LBJ still went for 40+ in that game. There was also the infamous "don't knock supermans cape off" game where LeBron basically went ballistic after his headband was knocked off his head on a play.

A bigger story than the physical play was the Wizards gameplan. Instead of doubling him up constantly, they played wisely and cut off his passing lanes. I saw a lot of terrible passes that were very un-Bron-like. Especially when he was in mid-air, I think he was expecting people to be open and they weren't- the only people waiting for the pass were the ones in blue. Part of that led to his career high 10 turnovers.

They also forced him into a lot of chucking. Not that LeBron is a bad shooter, but he's the #1 paint scorer in the NBA for a reason and he's at his best when he's doing both (driving/shooting) at free will. I can't recall the last time LeBron shot 7-26 or worse.

Game 1 of this series got a shitload of coverage and criticism and Eddie Jordan did a masterful job in adjusting on both ends.

it's not that they were too physical. because the Wiz weren't THAT physical with Lebron. for some reason you can tell that he expect to just fly through their defense as easily as he did in game one and wasn't expecting any such physical play from the Wiz.

it was obvious it was fucking with him mentally. he was missing shots, missing super easy layups, and making bad passes. this is all a learning experience for him. now he know what playoff basketball is REALLY like. he should be able to learn from it and come with a more aggressive game plan for game 3.

Lebron is the man. His game winning shot over Michael Ruffin was awesome. I'm surprised at how he made it because you gotta have strength to get a shot off like that considering Michael is a big dude. What's the deal with Damon Jones not getting played that much? The dude has lots of playoff experience. Mike Brown needs to play Damon a lot more. He only played 7 minutes last night. That ain't shit. He didn't play him much in the first 2 games. Zydrunas should be dominating Brendan Haywood's soft ass. Brendan tried to prove a point in game 2 by fouling Lebron hard but he's still wack. His offensive game is horrendous LOL. LOL@him shooting a airball free throw last night. Donyell Marshall hasn't done shit the last 2 games and Drew Gooden hasn't been consistent either so far. Lebron's teammates need to step it up if they wanna win this series.

Cavs a bunch of cheats. Did anyone not notice how Lebron walked before he scored the game winner yesterday?? It was obvious, dude took 2 extra steps. And the refs choose to ignore it. That's today's NBA. I love this game....

Stfu. You spend the better part of the last two years talking about how much the Cavs sucked and then slobbering on em with that post. There's no room for you in the wagon, keep it moving along.

0:23 [WAS 95-95] Arenas Driving Layup: Made (33 PTS)

James Foul: Shooting (3 PF) 0:23

0:23 Jamison Substitution replaced by Ruffin

[WAS 96-95] Arenas Free Throw 1 of 1 (34 PTS )

That was a charge. They ignored that as well.

Today's paper had some pretty funny comments...

"I'm not going to get fined for saying what's obvious, everybody sees it. I want to give all the credit to Cleveland, Mike Brown and his staff and his players but the truth is the truth" - Eddie Jordan

"Micheal Ruffin gets fouled and he's Micheal Ruffin. Gilbert Arenas doesn't get the calls LeBron gets. LeBron gets the and-ones and Gil doesn't get them" - Eddie Jordan (even though he must've been sleep when Gilbert charged LeBron and it was called a blocking foul with 23 seconds remaining for an "and-one" play- and on the following play, Ruffin fouled LeBron on the game winning bucket and no foul was called).

"[Brendan Haywood is] a baby period. Babies can't foul hard. He's not going to hurt anybody. He's just doing what his coach tells him to do, but I don't want to make a big deal out of that." - Damon Jones

"[Bendan Haywood] shies away from contact." - Gilbert Arenas

"Haywood's unflattering name throughout his career has been "Brenda" - Ed.

"We've talked about it the whole series, that we don't want to say anything in the media that will be bulletin board material, but Brendan I love you" - Mike Brown

"I'm not worried about what he says. If he was playing a little bit more, then I might have to take it into consideration, but I'm not even going to be able to say anything to him because I'm not going to be on the Cleveland bench" - Brendan Haywood (in response to Damon Jones comments)

"Jordan's argument doesn't appear to be well rounded. The Wizards were also on the end of several questionable calls, including a blocking foul on James with 23 seconds left where Arenas ran him over outside the no charge zone and got the call. Meanwhile, on the James basket in question, replays indicated he seemed to be fouled by Ruffin, but no call was made.

Beyond those whistles, a seasons worth of statistics indicate that James does not get more whistles than Arenas, especially in clutch situations. This season James averaged 10.3 free throws per game and Arenas averaged 10.0. But James took 36 percent of his shots inside the paint where fouls occur. Arenas took just 24 percent in the inside the paint according to mega-stats site 82games.com.

Arenas also led the NBA in free throw attempts in the fourth quarter. Friday, Arenas got to the line six times in the fourth quarter, while James just four times in the fourth. They both have been to the line 35 times in this series although LeBron has attempted 11 more shots." - Ed.

Game 4 is going to be exciting tonight.

^lol... then he said "Players who play less than 10 minutes in the series shouldn't be given interviews."

Yikes at this game so far. Kinda hard to be "physical" with LeBron when he shoots 5-7 from downtown in the first half with 25 points total. LeBron has unleashed the entire arsenal on the Wiz in this series and they pretty much have looked helpless except in game 2.

Cavs looking well on their way to a 3-1 series lead. Hopefully that is the case because I have tickets to game 5 and I would love to see the series get closed out while I'm in attendance.
