the same elgin who drafted the kandi man??? the same elgin who drafted wilcox & ely with 2 lottery picks, both who are no longer with the team???

maybe it's the bias, but i don't see another gm who has made better moves this season & offseason. bringing in cassell & a 1st round pick for jaric (who sucks), signing mobley, trading for vladrad, finding james singleton (a stud when not riding the bench), and i don't knock him as much as i do dunleavy for not drafting gerald green, but we'll let it slide...

is there another choice for executive of the year?

Colangelo even though he's with the Raptors now. Well you always have Paxson too...lol for trading his "best player" for 2 first round picks and a playoff berth...lol...

but on the real I think the one who deserves it the most must be Colangelo. Great job he did.

Danny Ferry got the the biggest trade deadline steal- getting Flip Murray for Mike Wilks... the 12th guy off the bench. Flip was a key contributor to saving the Cavalier season...

But his other moves are too questionable for me to consider him.. Damon Jones and Marshall really came on late in the season- but most would consider Z and banged up Larry Hughes to be overpaid to an extent. Also, he didn't see the shotblocking monster in Desgana Diop (none of us did)- and he's playing for less than 2 mill a year over in D town.

Dumars has put together a great team but I wouldn't say he is the best executive this year.. he didn't do anything with them. They're just benefitting off a great 3 year run of being able to somehow keep the same starting lineup.

doesn't the fact that the clippers were out of the playoffs last season but are now in it this season matter at all?

i don't see how you can be so quick to give the award to colangelo saying wow he did a great job of finding good players, but then say steve nash is the mvp for "making them better". a TAD contradictory.

I'm not the one that said Nash should be MVP. That was the fag double ML. I said I wouldn't be surprised but I'd be more happier if a Lebron or even Dirk won it. They are difference makers on their teams.

Jerry West should be mentioned...

got rid of two problem childs in wells and williams....brung in much better replacements in Stoudamire and Jones...even tho Stoudamire got injured...cant blame that on him...but he brought in the exact kind of players to fit into the system which made them far better than most expected....

of coure not me tho,since i said before the season they'd be a much better team than people expected...and better than the year before....but im not one to brag....
