when is the last time a white football player has been on the madden cover? LOL... im not makin fun of white people or anthing like that, but i was just expecting guys like peyton manning and tom brady to be on there sooner or later seein as the nfl wants those two players to be the face of the nfl.. i think madden does the qb thing every other year tho.. so they still got a chance

Shaun Alexander is boring. Being on the Madden cover isn't about stats, I mean Michael Vick of all people was on the cover.

Chad Johnson or Steve Smith would've been my choice but I ain't stressing about it or anything.

It really has little to do with who deserves it most... it's more about the marketing and position of the player.

The last few Maddens have based their cover athlete on what the main new addition to the game is...

Last years (QB vision = Quarterback) McNabb
05 (Defensive additions) Ray Lewis
04 (Playmaker control) Mike Vick

EA said they chose Alexzander this year because of the improvements they're making in the running game (which hopefully will be better than that piece of shit they added to last years passing game).
