And enough with calling people good defenders because they get steals and shit. That's why I have such a beef with the DPY award. The best defenders in the NBA aren't shown with stats. Marion's not THAT great of an on the ball defender.

Marion's defense is not good enough to the point where you can say "Marion's better than McGrady BECAUSE OF HIS DEFENSE".

so then how to judge a good defender?

marion is a good on the ball defender. He plays the toughest player on the opposite team 90 percent of the time. He is a good defender watch him play and help defense is still DEFENSE.

i no this is off topic, but gerald wallace, i no just cuz u get stls n blks doesnt make u a shutdown defender, but is gerald wallace good at defense??? i never see the bobcats play, just wonderin...on topic, tmac is better than marion, nash will turn any scrub into a decent player or even an all star, yall reallly think marion can do wat he does w/o nash??? 80 percent of his pts are passes from nash, marion is a baller, but not even in tmacs league...i feel like i posted the same exact post in this thread, but its not here ?

Take a popular player like Kobe, where people often compare McGrady or LeBron to him. You can easily say-- Kobe's defense is what makes him the better overall player. Kobes no slouch on offense, but his defense is so good in addition to it that it's hard to ignore. It's not the same in a Marion/McGrady comparison.

its funny how someone can make a point or atleast try and make a point and then later come in and use that same point bout turn it around to benifit them while contridicting (Sp) themselves.

The suns play an up scale type of game so its not unlikely to see people with inflated points, rebounds, and for that matter Turnovers in a game agianst them. How bout you show me Tmac's stats agianst Marion this year. Marion Gaurded Twack in there games. its REALLY funny how you wanna post Ron fucking Artest points to try and prove Twack is better then Marion. Yeah you guys are right Tmac OWNS Matrix. cuz its really funny when Matrix covered Tmac it took TMac TWO games to reach his season Average. ALMOST 80 minutes on the court and Tmac scored 23 points and had less then 10 rebounds less then 10 assist and got to the line ONCE.

explain how in head to head matchs Tmac gets fucking own'd by the matrix. how Ron Artest averages more points in ONE game agianst matrix then Tmac does in 2. shit three if you count the one where he was whining about his back. helping his team lose. fuck that explain it.
