Here is the final word on Vince Young’s Wonderlic score.
It is true that VY scored a 6. The Houston Chronicle
and The Nashville Tennessean have confirmed this. Also
confirmed though is the person that was grading the test
possibly screwed up and all of the tests from Vince’s
group had to be thrown out. VY retook the test and scored
an unconfirmed 16. The bigger question is who leaked the
story about Vince scoring a 6 and did they know the test
could have been a mistake? In the world of the NFL draft
we are talking about millions dollars when it comes to draft
position. There is a huge difference in money if a player
is drafted #2 as oppose to #6. Could it be possible that
an agent of another QB in the draft made sure that the
information about VY’s score got in the hands of a website
known for breaking rumors like PFT.com? The damage has
already been done, but what effect will it have on VY on
draft day?

Texas quarterback Vince Young isn't working out at the NFL Combine, but if the buzz here yesterday is true, he may have hurt his draft status significantly without throwing a football. With pro prospects running and jumping inside the RCA Dome, word outside began to spread that Young scored a six on the Wonderlic test given to prospects. The 12-minute, 50-multiple choice question test is just one factor teams look at when gauging a player's intelligence. The average score for an NFL prospect is roughly 19. The NFL doesn't make Wonderlic scores public. Most draft experts viewed Young as a Top 3 pick. A low Wonderlic score, however, could result in him sliding in the draft if teams believe he is not capable of grasping the myriad of responsibilities of an NFL quarterback. Players are allowed to take the test multiple times, so Young could take the test again. Word is USC quarterback Matt Leinart scored a 35 on the test, while the results for Vanderbilt QB Jay Cutler were unknown. Cutler scored in the upper-20s on the test before the NFL Combine.

If Young could only get 16 on a retest, I still don't think he has much of a brain.

neil smith.. scored a 4 on his but that didnt stop him from making 6 PB's as well as being the 2nd player drafted

i wanna say sean taylor scored lower han a 10 but u wont hear anybody say they wont take him cus hes not smart enough

vince wilfork scored a 10 and hes fine.. tommie harris had an 11 and hes fine.. chris gamble had a 9.. frank gore (SF) utplayed Barlow and he scored a 3

just b/c u score low dont mean u cant succeed in the NFl.. just like if u score high u arent guareented to be the next big thing..

clarett scored a 20 but i bet most people would say hes dumber than several players with lower scores..

drew henson scored a 40 something yet wont ever become a player.. jp losman and krenzel scored in the 30s and neither will amount to a quality qb..

I think they said on ESPN that Fitzpatrick or whoever from the Rams scored the highest on that over the recent years..

McNabb scored a 16 on it, Favre scored a 22

Maybe I should've said QB. The position where learning and comprehension matter most.

Brahman, what makes me hate vince young? The thought of the Titans drafting this dumb shit that'll end up being a widereciever. I'd rather have a qb. A GOOD qb...... though If the titans take young over cutler I might just give up on this team all together anyway. I dont think they're that stupid though.
