yeah since the knicks suck and can't pay them enough as their teams now can. why would they want to go to NY just to be on worse teams than they are now? I used to want Bron Bron on the Clips, but the Clipper curse would just ruin that nice young man's career.

i remember they told me, an i read in espn.com. that the reason knicks was letting go of so much(players) is to pay them players.

It didn't go out the window. LeBron to New York is still very much in the building.
In New York LeBron becomes even more of an icon than he is now.
New York is where people go to "make it big" ... if you're already BIG...imagine being BIG in New York.
Endorsements, movies, Wall Street contacts, Showbiz contacts....
LeBron puts a ball through a hoop for millions of dollars already. In New York he can put a ball through a hoop for Billions.
And the NBA gets its cut too.

The reason why New York let those players go is because they fucking sucked. New York has 0% chance to win a title there's no way in hell Wade or James end up there because they are better off where they are right now than in New York. If they do move anywhere it will be a big market west coast team, Chicago, or Boston.

He already has all that and more. Domestically there's not really much more to market on LeBron the only way I see him making any more money is overseas. The only difference between Cleveland and New York is that New York has more fairweather fans, an awful team, and no chance to win a title.

Nah....what were Cleveland's title hopes before LeBron got there? New York instantly becomes a title contender when LeBron lands.
As far as marketing, you think LeBron "has all that" now? LOL ...that's just a testament to how big LeBron's become out of Cleveland. In New York his star will shine so bright companies from all over the world will want him. The World Trade Center was in New York for a reason.....
Look, if Jay-z was representing a hood in Cleveland he never would've went platinum...LOL

LOL....I knew someone would point out Bone-Thugs.....but how many times did they go platinum? Once. Jay-z did it summer after summer. Being from New York, the mecca of HipHop (and of money), was the biggest factor.
If LeBron went to the Knicks they would no longer be "a fucking mess".....

LeBron is going west or somewhere in Texas if he ever does go somewhere. There is absolutely no upside for LeBron being in New York.

So if New York has is such a desireable place then what has been the Knicks excuse for almost the last 10 years? Last time they finished above 500 was what 2000? Sure the Yankees are the place to go but I don't see all the stars in the NBA beating down the door to join the Knicks. If Lebron is concerned more about money then winning then New York could be in luck (even though Cleveland can offer more contract wise). It's gotta be on Lebron's mind that the Knicks make a lot of dumb ass decisions

Name the Superstars of the last 10 years......Kobe, Wade, Carmelo, Lebron, T-Mac, Vince, Duncan...etc....
All were locked up and had reasons why other destinations were more desirable...and none of the ones who became free-agents were stars on the scale LeBron is.
LeBron, unlike the other superstars of the last decade, is unique because of the point he's at in his career (his age, his popularity) during his free agency.
LeBron goes to New York and they're instantly contenders. If Joe Johnson follows? pssshhhhh.....
Think about it....who would the Cavs be without LeBron? Would they be a playoff team?

Whatever....BoneThugs are popular for whatever reasons....point is, they would've been even more popular had they had the additional reason of being from New York......

most mainstream rappers are from New York, more than any other city. And if we're talking about "The greatest rappers of all-time" list, 80 percent are from New York...no matter who's list it is.
Is this because people are better at it in New York? Is this because people in New York spend more time rapping?
Hell no....
