I'm gonna do a McCizoy and say...
...that the Panthers will beat the Saints this Sunday.
When we click, we're one of the best teams in the league. I think the secret is keeping Jake's throws to less than 20 a game. Our D is finally clicking. Peppers is playing. And we've had the Saints number over the last 2 years, even the year they won the NFC South, we swept them. We have the #3 best pass defense. It can be interesting.
Yeah, I'm hoping against hope, but fuck it.

If the Panthers actually run the ball they have a chance.

They run the ball... it's just that when the game gets out of hand after a few of Jake's INT's, then we're forced to throw more. In the win against AZ, Jake only threw the ball 14 times. And he had no turnovers.
If we can play without any turnovers, we're deadly. But the only thing I'm worried about is that Brees maybe unstoppable. He'll force us into a sh****ut, which'll be to our detriment. But if we can run the ball and control the clock, then it's in our favor. The Saints have improved their D, which is the reason why they're so successful. But DeAngelo Williams can be unstoppable at times, too. We'll see.

I don't care who wins the game, but Brees better give me at least 20 fantasy points

I'd feel better about the game if it was in Carolina but we do have the personnel to beat the Saints. I mean I don't really want to shit on an undefeated team but seeing how well the Dolphins and the Falcons have done against them the past two weeks a win is definitely possible.
Team is skitzo as a motherfucker though. Losing in embarrassing fashion to the Bills and then the next week stomping the Cardinals. Can't even tell from week to week what to expect.

It's the fuckin' turnovers, yo... that's what killed us... we should easily be 5-2 right now... we're a better team than the Bills, but we turned the ball over at crucial moments and in the wrong spots, giving them short fields... in the beginning, we looked especially bad because our D sucked, too... but now our D is clickin'... the pass defense is insane... the line is pushing dudes back... Brees has a mad quick release, too... I don't know... I'm hoping against hope... we're not scared of the Dome, though.

I think it's going to be close, ESPN is running the Saints' next 4 games, speculating about the possibility of them being undefeated when they face the Pats, so the Panthers game has all the makings of a trap game.

Actually, if you were properly doing a McCizoy, you would be rooting for the Saints, not the Panthers.

The thing I've disagreed with is that time during the game where it's officially "out of hand" and it's time to start to only throw the ball. They can't give up on the run in the 2nd or 3rd quarter like they've done in other games this year. With the way they have been playing they might as well give up on the throwing game and only be running.

Been saying this for weeks. I'd be perfectly fine handing the ball off 80% of the time with the other 20% of the plays being screens and the occasional deep ball to Smith.

Don't watch a lot of Panthers games, but it seems like most of Jake's picks would come off errant attempts to go deep to Smith? Or maybe it's because he's making the mistake of looking at other receivers other than Smith...
On a side note, HOW THE HELL is the line on this game 13 1/2? I'm tempted to bet on this sucker. But then I'm reminded Jake is a threat throw 5 picks any given Sunday, and I get scared.

Yeah... that's usually it, but he's just a terribly inaccurate passer for the most part... he overthrows and underthrows... he can't see the safeties coming in... but lately, he's been gettin' a lot of his balls tipped, which causes INT's... I get scared everytime they let him throw 3 consecutive times or more... because usually by that 3rd or 4th throw, he'll throw an INT...

Panthers lost that game in the 1st half, when they decided to keep the conservative approach. You do that in the 4th quarter when you're up by 14, not in the 1st and 2nd quarters. I mean, did they really think a 14 pt lead would be safe against the Saints? That's asking too much of your defense. I know Jake is suspect, but damn... you gotta play to win in order to beat the Saints. The halftime score shoulda been 21-3... maybe they woulda had a better chance.

Jake would've just coughed the game up earlier. It is scary how terrified they are to even allow Jake to throw the ball I mean they did go overkill with all the runs on 3rd and long. The game was about what I expected though. I actually think we can get to 9-7 for the year and maybe sneak into the playoffs.

Smith is gonna ask to be traded... just watch. Those superstar players want to make more of an impact... it's why I could feel where Peppers was coming from... he feels he's better than all of these ends and linebackers gettin' 16-20 sacks a year, but he doesn't feel like he's being used properly... Smith is starting to feel the same way... Jake can't get him the ball anymore.
