LOL Jay is an un-proven Pro Bowler.

Big deal he throws for 4000 yards meanwhile 1:1 TD/TO and a .500 record (2 stats that actually matter).

What good is a 4000 yard passer if you can't win games because he's throwing red zone interceptions?

What's it gonna take for you to admit this was an awful trade?

I was an Orton fan. I disagreed with the trade initially. I just want to give him a chance first. If he maximizes his potential he will be a hall of famer, if not he will lose us games, but I think it was worth the risk

So we gotta wait for our QB to hopefully be better meanwhile the guy we got rid of flourishes?

I'm sure Al Davis felt the same way you do about Cutler when he drafted Jamarcus Russell.

You do realize there's quite a few guys who were career backups at best you could say the same for right?

Orton didn't do that here, which leads me to believe that as long as Ron Turner is here, he would have never flourished. I think as soon as we get a new coaching staff, we will learn a lot about Jay.

Um how soon we forget:

On September 7, 2008, Orton lead the Bears to a 29-13 victory over the Indianapolis Colts in the first regular season game of the 2008 season. Orton threw for a career high 334 yards and two touchdowns, while completing 24 of 34 passes in a 34-7 victory over the Detroit Lions.[10] He finished the game with a career high passer rating of 121.4.

From the start of November 2008, Kyle Orton passed for ten touchdowns, and four interceptions, leading the Bears to a 4-3 record. Orton sustained an injury to his ankle against the Detroit Lions in Week 9 of the NFL season,[11] and missed his subsequent start. Orton rushed himself back into the starting lineup a week after Grossman had a solid outing for someone coming off the bench against the Titans. Since his return, Orton threw eight touchdowns, and eight interceptions while averaging a quarterback rating of 66.9, including ratings of 39.1 against Minnesota, 49.2 against New Orleans, and 48.7 against Green Bay.[8]

How come when Orton throws 1:1 TD/INT playing injured we blame him, yet a perfectly healthy Jay Cutler does the same thing and it's everybody else' fault besides Cutler?

Ultimately, it comes down to confidence. When we needed to march down the field against Atlanta in the final minutes last week, I had confidence that we would with Jay under center. If it were Kyle, I wouldn't have been as confident. The big thing with Kyle is that he didn't fit this system. Last week, they showed Kyle's stats under center, vs in the shot gun. Turner doesn't utilize the shot gun as much, so that is why Kyle didn't shine like he could have.

People don't understand how the business of the NFL works. Orton excels when he is in the shotgun. That is the system he played in at Purdue. He never really adjusted to playing from under center. Ron Turner isn't fond of qbs playing out of the shotgun. Angelo couldn't force Lovie to get rid of Turner, and no GM in his right mind would even interview him for a head coaching position. Lovie is Angelo's second coach, so both of their fates are tied together. Angelo can't just fire him and start over. If Lovie gets fired, odds are Angelo goes around the same time. Therefore, it is easier to simply trade for Cutler, than firing the coaching staff and bring in a new staff and new system. It might not have been ideal, but trading for Cutler was the best option when you look at everything I laid out.

Our offensive line is fucking absolutely pathetic. They can't make any holes, they can't give Cutler any time, they're done for.

Ron Turner's still the same old fucking moron, I don't even know what to say anymore. Chicago ownership is so god damn stubborn they refuse to make changes.

Lovie Smith is still the same old fucking drone. He's almost completely turned the Bears into Little Lovies, passionless, fireless, mundane fucking losers who have no fire in their belly. Monsters of the Midway have turned into the Ben Stein Bears... Also I don't think I need to mention that he can't coach for shit, he belongs at a high school. Again, Chicago's stubborn, and he has a contract. Fire his lame ass.

You can see what I mean when Bears are out smiling and hugging Benson after he ran by the sideline taunting the Bears in the 4th quarter, and refusing to come out of the game.

Bears are fucking pussy as fuck, wide gaping fucking vaginas with a jersey on.

I'm so god damn ashamed, and I'm going to Soldier Field for the Browns game next weekend. Ugh.

I agree that Turner has to go, but the Cover 2 has proven to work when you have good players. I think Turner's system is just bad regardless of personnel. I think Angelo needs to go, so whenever a GM is outed, the new guy always brings in a new coaching staff. We need a good GM and just start over.

Ideally, I would want to see us run an aggressive blitzing 4-3, and a balanced running attack on offense with some elements of the west coast, but I'm a dreamer...lol.

Forte has been running soft this year so I don't really see the Bears going back to a strong running game they are more on par with how the Packers run their offense right now. The Vikings need to stop making Favre throw so much so his arm isn't blown out at the end of the year. Lately he's been throwing about 50 times a game which is wayyyy too much for him.
