Some people think NY didn't get enough for him, but they got a good tight end in that rookie they had who played big in the playoffs, AND you have to take into consideration jeremy shockey is a fucking dickhead.

couple things on this trade....

shockey is injury prone and a nuisance but the guy can play his ass off. IMO this was a good trade for both teams. The Saints have an extremely dynamic offense and Shockey should fit in perfectly with them. Bush, Mcalister, Brees, Colston Shockey, Copper, and Patton give them ALOT of weapons. For the Giants they get 2 draft picks (a 2nd rounder can go a LONGGGG way). Alot of coaches love 2nd round picks cuz you're still extremely likely to get a probowler and pay him close to nothing. Plus in the Giants case its addition by subtraction, Shockey is a premadonna and a dick, and Eli seems better off without him.

and with that being said people need to stop talking about Boss like he's as good as Shockey. With Shockey outta the lineup the Giants were averaging 1 whole ypc. Also Shockey is a 10x better reciever. Boss is gonna hear alot of shit from NY fans this year I guarantee it. But the last and most important note is that the Giants won the superbowl without shockey

almost just to give him away just to get rid of them,

Even more good news for Eli.

Many say Eli didn't start passing better until after Shockey got injured. Shockey was viewed as an distraction for Eli because of his bad attitude.

Overrated! Shockey hurts chemistry, his biggest contribution will be the attention he gets on the field becuz he's so overrated. The Saints will be good this year, they're right up there with the Cowboys in the NFC
