25.2 ppg, 9.2 rpg, 1.5 apg, 2.1 bpg.

and his team is, what, third in the west?

i guess all credit will always be due to nash. nash is a vitable part of amare's "excelling". at the same time, amare is grabbing nearly 10 boards a game and knockin' at least 2 shots a game into the stands. plus, i think he has the highest ppg out of any power forward in the league.

i think he should at least be considered in mvp voting for this season. i think he's easily established himself as a top 10 player now. kobe, lebron, d-wade, nash, cp3, k.g., tim duncan, carmelo anthony, dwight howard, and amare. that's where i think the league is at right now.

in the past, though, whenever nash gets injured, the suns lose a string of games until nash gets back. that's a huge argument right there.

I remember thinking that the 2005 Western Conference Finals was the best we were ever going to see of Amare Stoudemire after hearing about his impending micro-fracture surgery.

He's really bounced back strong and is starting to regain that form again though. I'm especially impressed with his field goal percentage and blocked shots.

Shaq's arrival in Phoenix helped put a spike in those numbers too.

Shaq frees up Amare to move without the ball...

for some reason teams still double team Shaq, stupidly as even some of the smaller centers in the league can handle him now... Freeing Amare up to move around the post instead of posting up... now he can use the pick and roll even more effectively and slash into the lane cuz his man will sometimes fall back on Shaq...
