and just in case we're unclear here....

wang is a ground ball pitcher who relies on a good defense behind him and an overpowering offense, being that he's blessed enough to sit atop the rotation of the team that has the highest paid offense in baseball. thus, he doesnt give up alot of home runs, but when he gets knocked around, he gets KNOCKED AROUND. and he consistently allows as many hits as innings pitched, which is the barometer for good pitching, the "mendoza line" of pitching if you will.


beckett is a force on the mound. hitters actually fear him. thus the tremendously low career BAA. he doesnt hang in there with his offense, he carries his frigging team. not to mention his ASTONISHING walk to strikeout ratio which might just be the best in the majors.
