Chris Paul has passed up Lebron as of late and is number one on my list.

I'd give the nod to Chris Paul if I were to submit a vote today, but there's more basketball to be played.

Kobe Bryant's had a legitimate shot at the trophy for only the past 2 or 3 years when he reshaped his play. He may have possessed the best two-way skill set in the league for longer than that, but the MVP is about more than that... you have to look beyond the numbers and dazzling fireworks.

Shaquille O'Neal was always the L.A. Lakers MVP when he was in town... their team record was better with him sans Kobe than vice versa. Being the anchor, he carried them more effectively and was rightfully awarded the Finals MVP during their championship dynasty.

It's to KB24's credit though that he's seemed to get over throwing tantrums on the court when he's mad at the coach, front office, teammates, etc. The 2004 NBA Finals were his low point in terms of cancerous play.

You say that cuz what he did against the bulls yesterday? yes it was amazing, but it was the bulls and lebron has scored 24 points in the 4th quarter against the raptors and torched portland for 18 in the fourth. oh yea he also puttin up numbers (31 8 7) that hasn't been seen since jordan did it in the mid 80's. If paul won it i would have no beef but it will be a close race.

Lebron Shoots almost 50 percent from the field, I dont care if he gets alot of layups the fact is he is a more effecient scorer inside the 3 point line than Kobe Bryant and is about equal with Chris Paul disregarding the fact that Lebron scores alot more than Paul

Kobe is shooting like 45-46 percent this year which is one of his best years shooting wise he's ever had.

Aside from scoring Lebron is averaging nearly 8 rebounds and 8 assists per game with one of the worst shooting teams in the league.

Kobe doesnt even come close to that.

I agree that CP3 is the best at setting up teammates but LBJ is a complete player. Moreso than Kobe in nearly every way.
