Kevin Garnett, Paul Pierce, Ray Allen, Rajon Rondo and crew will be at a disadvantage, because they will be playing a back-to-back starting tonite (MON NITE) against the San Antonio Spurs.

Meanwhile, the Houston Rockets have the day off.

But, I digress.

The streak has been one amazing rollercoaster ride, and I'm fully prepared to bid it adieu should that be the case tomorrow night...

moved it to tnt, good stuff. now we finally play a good playoff team w/o them havin any injuries. ray had that ankle but its really nothin. he didnt play vs milwakee cuz the celts have a 3 game southwest road trip, b2b w/ san antone and houston.

then again we got lucky again cuz maybe san atnone will help us by wearin out the celts. but w/e, we play no on wed. they got west back, i cant wait till this week is over.

and landry is comin back tomarrow. and theres rumors we might sign dale davis.

Any luck they've enjoyed has only served to balance things out and counteract the extreme unluckiness of losing Yao Ming for the season.

They're 31-3 over their last 34 games. 31-3. And, they've been consistent as evidenced by the team stats of the streak.

w/ Yao (12-0):

PPG: 99.9
Opp. PPG: 89.8
Opp. FG%: 42.6
BPG: 4.3

w/out Yao (10-0):

PPG: 102.1
Opp. PPG: 86.6
Opp. FG%: 38.1
BPG: 6.4

I would be more receptive to accusations of "luck" if the average margin-of-victory were 5 points or lower, and they weren't playing such good team defense in terms of forcing their opponents into bad shooting nights.

There've been a lot of good teams and a lot of easy schedule stretches over the course of the NBA's history, and only two teams have put together 22-game winning streaks.
