This game was too big to pass up, that's why ABC picked up on this game and the tip off is now scheduled at 12:30pm PACIFIC time, as opposed to the originally scheduled 4pm.

Kobe and the Lakers will be at a disadvantage because they are starting a tough road trip starting tonite (FRI NITE) against the Hornets.

Meanwhile the Rockets are playing CHARLOTTE.

But I digress.

This will be a very hard-fought game, with a lot on the line. The one thing I like believe it or not is that we're playing Houston on the ROAD on national television.

Lakers focus better on road games. Especially against playoff teams. Especially on national television. (Revisit @Phoenix)

People need to start seeing at it as two separate streaks.



Right now, the new-look Rockets are a team on an 8-game winning streak (9 if they beat the Charlotte Bobcats).

With Yao Ming, they were 21-3 over a 24-game stretch before his injury.



At first, the momentum of the new run 'n gun style had me excited with the way it looked and the superior numbers it put up, but I'm now starting to lament Yao's absence more than ever.

The combination of him, Scola, and Landry in the middle would have gotten us past both Dallas and Utah in our previous playoff series.

They were undoubtedly going to be a special team this year.

The win streak was no fluke and truly of legendary magic.

I'm not making any promises, and all I can say is GO ROCKETS!

i love how abc picked up the warriors/hornets for april 6th...1st time in about a decade that the warriors been on non-cable tv...
