the only reason i say that is because in the west every team will battle it out and be fatigued in the finals. The east is so garbage that the celtics,pistons,cavs and maybe magic are the only teams that will give each other fits. Whoever doesn't play the cavs in the 2nd round is my favorite to win it all.

correct me if im wrong, but you seem to continually reject the simple fact that the east as a whole is significantly less talented than the west. even if the celtics and pistons had the two best records in the league, it wouldnt change the fact theyre playing in a clearly inferior conference from top to bottom.

it was denver, golden state, and utah, i believe (not sure on the third one)

and denver beat em by 6, and it was close, real close.

golden state needed a buzzer beater from baron davis to beat em.

In past years, I have rejected that notion because the west has been overrated for a good bit throughout this decade... but this year, they're good... they're damn good... I gotta give props... but when the Lakers and Spurs were dominating earlier this decade, they weren't that much better than the East.

I would imagine it's better for you to play at your full potential for the playoffs vice playing half assed verse the whacklings of the East, and getting alot of rest for your big time players before entering the Finals..
