The Houston Rockets join the 1969-70 New York Knicks, 1981-82 Boston Celtics, and 1995-96 Chicago Bulls in a tie for 4th place all-time in NBA history for longest winning streaks (18) with tonight's 106-96 victory over the New Orleans Hornets.

I call it "bittersweet", because Gerald Green was waived today

And, T-Mac played ALL 48 minutes en route to 41 points (17-27 FG), 6 REB, and 9 AST.

when the plays not for him, he doesnt RUN the play

hes horrible off ball, doesnt allow himself to fit into systems.

he just wants the sportscenter highlight. cant create his own shot at all. no court vision.

Average margin-of-victory over these past 18 games? 12.5.

Sure you can say, "they haven't played anybody", but this kind of consistency is remarkable regardless of who they're facing. It's the NBA, and good teams can lose to bad teams on any given night.

They're looking so fluid and playing out of their minds right now... some stretches of the games unfold as if they were scripted for a hokey Hollywood sports film.

Remnants of JVG's defense remain intact, and Adelman is an offensive wizard.

I know Yao's absence hurts in the long-run, but I don't see how they could look any better even if he were in the line-up. They look like an entirely new team that happens to be as effective as the old one in their own unique way.

McGrady has been misunderstood and unfairly judged for years.

He's always had heart... the things he's lacked are an adequate supporting cast and physical health.

As far as I'm concerned, he's only truly been to the playoffs twice. It was a shame that the 2003 Orlando Magic couldn't get that last win over the #1 seeded Detroit Pistons, but it's one hell of a feat that they even made it to a Game 7. They should have been a lottery squad.

They are not overrated... the run they're on is impressive though.
