If I Were GM Of The Following Teams
Golden State Warriors
Sacramento Kings
Houston Rockets
Detroit Pistons
Miami Heat
i would make the following BLOCKBUSTER trades if possible.. all teams need some major roster tweeking if they are going to be able to compete for a championship spot, so allow me to play GM for the day, in hopes that i can get all teams what they are looking for and give them all a better chance to WIN....
i would give t-mac to gsw for davis
yao ming to detroit plus green and a pick for rip and sheed
i would give sac wat they ask for in aaron brooks
i would remove dwade and add consistant roll players along with a young pg and veteran back up.. so wade will join t-mac in gold state and the heat in return get stephan jackson and al harrington
heres the break down
Final Rosters:
Golden State Warriors
PG. Monta Ellis
SG. Dwayne Wade
SF. Tracy McGrady
PF. Andrei Beidrins
C. Patrick O'Bryant
whether or not this is a better contender for a championship with wade and mac rather than jackson and harrington remaines to be seen, however there is no denying who the better overall players are and 2 superstars on the perimiter is going to be a nightmare for any defense.. although they lose baron davis who is dominant in his own right, his time is running out and Monta Ellis is one of the most improved players of the year and we can only expect him to KEEP on improving as he has almost 20ppg this season, that giving you a big three with him wade and mcgrady who can all average 20+ and beidrins can also put up 10-15... Patrick O'Bryant is just a filler on the side ala Kendrick Perkins, though he is a big body that can threaten penetrating guards
--------------------------------
Detroit Pistons
PG. Chauncey Billups/Steve Francis
SG. Gerald Green/Steve Francis/First Round Pick From Rockets/
SF. Tayshaun Prince
PF. Antonio McDys/Carl Laudry
C. Yao Ming
this trade with houston gives the pistons something they have been craving for YEARS, which is a dominant inside presence in yao ming and some young perenial plays with potention like gerald green.. they also get a first round pick, although they lose rasheed wallaces clutch shooting his is coming of age and before billups (franchise pt guard) loses too many years himself they are trying to differant approach by feeding yao ming in t5he post and getting billups and prince open for shots, also with attacking ball handles like green and francis is should be easier to get driving lay ups and transition buckets.. Carl Laudry is having an explosive rookie season and has twice the youth of an old rasheed wallace, he is a tenatious defender and a nightmare on the boards at only 6'9 1/2.. he will have a promising future alongside yao ming
-------------------------
Miami Heat
PG. 1st Rd pick in draft (Derrick Rose)/ Rafer Alston
SG. Stephan Jackson/Ricky Davis
SF. Shawn Marion
PF. Al Harrington
C. Mark Blunt/McGloire
this trade will make miami a deadly outside shooting team, and a team that can spread the floor with the presense of a shooting big man like Mark Blunt which will open up the lines for a driving derrick rose and ricky davis coming in off the bench consistantly. although they lose dwayne wade they can 20ppg from stephan jackson, a promising point guard in the draft whether it be rose or gorden and very good outside shooting which they have lacked all season, if they were interested also they might be able to work out a trade including drell wright j-will and a rist road pick for a proven point guard ala devin harris....
---------------------------
Houston Rockets
PG. Baron Davis
SG. Richard Hamilton
SF. Ron Artest
PF. Luis Scola/ Rasheed Wallace
C. Rasheed Wallace/Draft Choice-FA
the combo of Tracy McGrady and Yao has proven to be faulty as both cannot seem to stay healthy or get past the first road... also with the new coach in rick adelman as the GM it is my job to surround him with players who fit into the offense he is trying to run, which is having big man that have to be guarded outside of the paint, to open up the lane for cutters, ala Rasheed Wallace.. Ron Artest also flourished in rick adelmans system in sacramento and Rip Hamilton is among the best in the entire league in cutting and moving without the ball, which rick adelman will love, baron davis is MORE than accustomed to running a high octane fast passed offense and it will be right up his alley, true the rockets are risking losing some size down low, however they are a handful of free agent big man waiting to be sided, and with all the contracts houston will lose they will be more than able to acquire another big man or possibly draft.. given Tracy McGradys offense decline Baron davis should be able to pick up his slack in scoring, while Hamilton & Wallace take over yaos scoring dutys and Artest imposes his will as always, Luis Scola should be much more accustomed to the NBA game by next season and will be called upon to av. between 12-16pts a game.. with davis doing the majority of the distribution a team packed with proven scorers like this can really make some noise in the league
------------------------------
Sacramento Kings
PG. Aaron Brooks/Beno Udrith
SG. Kevin Martin/Luther Head
SF. Shane Battier
PF. Draft Pick/Chuck Hayes
C. Brad Miller
now this team may seem to be the one getting the short end of the stick, however they have made it very clear that they want to build their new team around a future allstar point guard, and for reasons unknown they believe that Aaron Brooks is that guy (actually fact, they really said this LOL) and they have been high on him ever since the 07 draft... he does share some Allen Iverson qualitys in his game hoping that he adjusts to the NBA within the next couple of years the kings believe he can be a real force along side Kevin Martin.. Brooks has the potention to be a high scoring PG in this league with his raw speed and ability to get to the basket and create.. he is a project that the kings are interested in as the build for the future.. Shane Battier will add a proven 3pt shooter and will attemp to pick up Artests Defensive slack, Chuck Hayes another defensive force that will most likely see limited playing time, while Luther Head will come off the bench to spread the floor in certain situations.
just some shit i been thinkin bout
