it'll be interesting to see how joba does this year.

my opinion, i'd rather have the second group. I mean of course you want santana on your squad, but imo ortiz will really do better than konerko who i think is streaky.

the way i see it, ortiz is a HUGE improvement from konerko, as konerko is on the way down, and ortiz will finally get to play without injury, which is what he did all last year, even though he still batted 335/35 hr/120 rbi

joba will not close this year. so having him for middle relief is just as good as hideki, neither are worth much, altho joba is obviously better, it doesnt really matter.

and the difference between oswalt and johan is far less than the difference between ortiz and konerko

He's been pretty dominant against NL hitting, I feel he has a better offense behind him then Oswalt and I feel that Johan has the better bullpen.

uhhh... they only "let him" get 26 innings in 2 months cause he was in the bullpen. It's kind of difficult to throw more than 70 innings coming out of the pen in a whole season.

I won't even bother to get into innings cap and increasing workloads for young pitchers.
