i was rooting for dwight a month back when the magic were beasting and he was putting up 24/15 and freakin on mufuckas but they kinda slowed down since then.

chris pauls been sick all year and the hornets are a top 5 team in the west. dropping 40 and 30 aint shit for him now. and he averages 10+ dimes a game.

garnett will get obvious consideration just because the celtics are probably gonna win 60 but dude hasn't been spectacular like the aforementioned guys.

kobe needs to get some attention. the lakers are 23-11 and hes averaging 27/6/5 on an off year. he's not lightin people up but he's been great just making sure others get theirs before he get his.

lebron is a straight up man child. 28/7/7 and it aint 6.5 and shit he's a 27/7+ man now. he's just sick. but the cavs have been shit all year. no doubt they would not even catch a sniff of the playoffs without him thou.

other guys:

nash - shock value is gone once people realized how dime happy that system is

duncan - spurs kinda fell off and he hasnt had to be THE MAN right now with parker and ginobili next to him

dirk - i dont think anybody outside of dallas is gonna vote for him just because of the playoffs last year. the mavs got sonned by the warriors and dirk didnt do much to stop it

i agree with your list..cept i'd maybe put kg ahead of howard...other than that, you're on point...i just can't take the hornets serious though..they dont have a bench..all it takes is one injury to their starting 5..and their toast...i think they're going to slow down..and thats gonna less CP3's chances for MVP...i think its going to come down to KG vs kobe if he wins his division..or if they get +50 wins

i'd go with paul, mainly because KG has two players who can also put up huge if not better numbers than he can.

i'ma be biased and say Kobe deserves it most. He's put his ego and personal achievements and has put his teammates first... while still averaging his 25+ points along with 6 rebounds and 5 assists. If he were still the same selfish player of past Bynum still wouldnt be shit.

One thing though, Kobe's always been about winning and heart. Now, he's including his team and is doing what nash does for the suns... facilitate. only difference is... kobe got a killer instinct and nash relies way too much on his teammates. im not getting on his case about passing... but with a stroke like his... i'd be doing bigger things from a personal offensive point of view.

if kobe did this last year the lakers would have been a lottery team. look at dwayne wade's heat. he is in the same situation kobe was in 2 years ago and half of last year. except unlike kobe, instead if taking over he is distributing, and the heat are getting fucked every night. if kobe did that 2 years ago the lakers would have sucked horribly, comparably to the heat.

what the fuck are you talking about? What other allstar cast is chris paul surrounded by? How many games has ray allen bailed you guys out of now or saved you with three pointers? i just meant that word around the league was that kobe was selfish. if that were the case this year... bynum would not be having the year he is having. kobe would be avg. 30+ pts and bynum, despite his hard work and effort, might not see as many touches. i like the kid. i'll be honest... i didnt think he would turn out like this. but his hard work are paying off. but i see whatchu mean.

Peja used to be an allstar in sacramento days, his game isnt on the incline, and he doesnt have the ability to take over games anywhere near the way ray allen or paul pierce can nor create his own offense other than firing up threes.

I think there is something you are forgetting, and thats the fact these guys all individually used to lead THEIR OWN TEAMS and be talked about with the best in the league in the very same ways. Comparing west and peja to allen and pierce is about retarded as a move as you can make, especially since peja has never been the type to take over a game and relies mostly on other people to give him the ball and help create his offense. You aint gonna see peja driving to the whole on a great team in crunch time to try and send a game to victory or OT, paul is a leader, peja is not. Ray and pierce have both been leaders and their game is still spectacular, and like dannyc is admiting, they're not always pass first, unlike KG most of the time, they WANT THOSE SHOTS.

and kobe has been doing this for the past 3 years on his lonesome since shaq days and hasnt done a fucking thing, thats like giving lebron the mvp vote, theres a guy who really hasnt had any help. But kobe definately is someone to consider, but i dont think hes done anything near what paul has, mainly because the hornets havent been in this position for quite some time and the lakers arent breaking any ground they havent seen before other than the fact bynum is finally coming around.

At the end of the day you can make an argument for all of them, its always the same guys talked about for MVP but none of them have been a rampage quite like chris paul has in my opinion, dude has been destroying shit like Dirk did last year, however i dont think he deserved MVP after a first round knock out, but i guess it is just regular season.

i didnt either. i thought everybody was being stupid thinking he was somehow gonna save us when we need a real gamer in there but he has fuckin blossomed.

bynum actually still doesnt get many touches in the post. he gets prolly half of his points off offensive boards.

phil needs to call his number more because even if its just an alley oop, there are like 2 or 3 mufuckas in the league besides bynum that reach that high, and even then its either a dunk or a foul. id love to see a suns lakers matchup in the playoffs because if phil uses the same gameplan he used 2 years ago, bynum will eat them alive.
