You know how people say he sucks and that he gets a free ride from the media, fans, whoever because his last name is Manning? Well I'm watching the Chargers-Titans game and thought to myself, Phillip Rivers is the one getting a free ride because damn has he regressed badly from where he was last year, but you NEVER hear anyone slamming him like they do Eli. I bring up Rivers because they were obviously drafted in the same year (the whole SD-NYG trade fiasco during the draft).

So how is Eli living off solely off his last name but Rivers has been equally as inconsistent doesn't get half the criticism Eli does. I'm telling you being Peyton's little brother isn't doing him any favors AT ALL.

Its because Eli's playing in New York and he was the #1 overall pick. And being Peytons brother basically already set a level of hype noone could live up to. But I dont think the media is giving him a free ride, if anything the media is the cause of all this Eli hate.

But I hope Rodney Harrison shows up and gets a cheap hit on Phillip Rivers because mother fuckers pretty mouthy for a kid that rarely does shit.

mannning has 5 more int's tho

rivers came through at the end when they needed him to. it doesnt hurt that he has tomlinson and eli really doesnt have that kind of support ever since barber retired. i still think rivers > eli.
