i honestly thought they were the same person. both selfish mu'fuckas who ran the point but did very little passing. altho... iverson has always averaged a solid 7 assists or more. imo iverson's always been better than starbury. but not by much.

both were the type of point guards to drop 20-30 points a guard (of course iverson was and will always be a more prolific scorer), and drop 7-8 dimes a game.

i think they were at least almost close at one point of their careers. i would say from the late 90s to the early 2000s, a.i. and marbury were the only point guards who were constantly a threat to score and get a lot of assists, game after game. a.i. always averaged about 7-8 more ppg than marbury and will always be considered a better defender, but that's about it.

the difference now is that a.i. is pretty much the same a.i. and marbury completely fell apart.

I never thought Marbury was on AI's level... I remember when Steve Francis came out, they were calling him the next AI because they had similar height and hops...

But seriously, the biggest difference between Marbury and Iverson has always been HEART, of which Marbury has always lacked... and then Iverson is just a better athlete and more prolific scorer.

Guys with no heart (Marbury, Penny Hardaway, T-Mac, Vince Carte) suck to me, regardless of their natural abilities... fuckin' play the game, give it your all and quit crying and underachieving like a bitch.

Fuck Marbury... dude is a spoiled pussy homo who just enjoys getting a paycheck and playing for his hometown squad... he never cared about being the best and it shows.

^AI used to dunk more than a few times in college and his first couple years in the NBA... but being injured often keeps him grounded... there was a point in which he did have hops... and he's only 5'10" although he's listed as 6 feet.
