do you think oden would have had as much of an impact? i smell a skill gap of dwight howard vs. emeka okafor in the next 2-3 seasons between ode and durant.

the only thing, though, is big ode has never been in a regular season game against the superstars. durant has showed early signs of a hall-of-fame nba career.

^^^i hope you're kidding with grant hill because he was a hall of famer before injury. and steve francis probably had an outside shot at a hall of fame career if he stayed in houston. people forget how good he was. he was averaging like 20/7/6.

anyways, this thread is fucking retarded for many reasons.

1. durant is a fucking chucker. he shoots way too low in percentage, and you would be insane to call him an early hall of famer when he only plays one side of the game. durant can't play defense to save his life. but he should be much better next year when he adds on some muscle to his bony frame.

2. the okafor vs. dwight is thing is not a skill gap because okafor was far more skilled than howard in their first 2 years in the league. howard is just bigger, stronger, and more athletic. now he is starting to show signs of a post game but its not a coincidence that half of dwight's shots are dunks. its like saying shaq was more skilled than hakeem olajuwon. and no im not comparing okafor to olajuwon.

i must agree with y'all. the only thing that i can honestly say to combat any claims made in those statements is that grant hill had a hall of fame career until his injury. bottom line. everybody says this.

basketball journalists. analysts on nba shows. everybody is happy that he is at least dropping 15 points a game and going to end his career on somewhat a high note.

as far as oden and durant go...the thing durant is going to have over oden next year is experience and he can only get better.

i didnt really understand what you meant with the grant hill comment. but just to make the case, dude was averaging 20/8/8. those are some holy shit numbers right there, and the fact that he hadhis career killing injury the way he did, trying to prove that he is a team guy in the playoffs, has to get you feelin for dude.
