According to ESPN, chris webber is likely to return to the pistons in January

Just seen it today and yesterday on NBA fast break, that according to reports hes returning come jan. He probably aint gonna start over mcdyess most likely but more bench depth? Hes hungry for that ring.

loves it if its true, EVEN more trouble for boston, hes not half the player he used to be, but he can be mighty productive.

lol so will the pistons Bench was cut by more than half when they usually put up 35-50 pts, tayshaun scored 2 points, rasheed got most if not all his point off the 3 pointers he hit out of the 939 shots he missed, maxiell scored 3 points when he usually puts up double digits. Couldnt play much worse really away from 2-3 plyers who played to their potential. We got total room for improvement, Boston however is just their three starters, Rondo aint always gonna go off like that, matter fact we put a stop to it after the 1st qrter

aint got much to improve other than pierce who was the only one under, everyone else who matters played outstanding except perkins who cant score, bench only scores when plays are made for them, since pistons dont double team, aint gonna put up numbers.

And i dont really know what his reason was, he has other things going for him but im not sure why he took time off. Reports early in the season was he might go to dallas, maybe he was just waiting to see which one was more likely to make finals this year :P

But oh well, i wont say ill hate having another 20 point capable scorer. That will really seal the deal in my mind.

lol@chris webber wont make any difference, anybody who puts up 10-25 pts a game makes a difference, im not sure which league you're watching. bum or not he a ton last season. Thats like saying mcdyess dont make a difference.

we barely beat em playing like complete ASS away from billups and rip and up by 6 until the miracle threes came.

and why was the play pussy? Because allen is too much of a fucking rook to hold his ground?

that was as veteran of a move ull ever see, not everyone is gonna try to force ugly ass shots like pierce at the end.

boston cant fuck with the pistons, face it. Garnett, allen, and rondo played the game of their lives once again, only one who didnt was pierce who got 11. We got room to improve in every field, if anything you should be scared we were able to win playing that bad. Celts have no depth or plan B against good teams who play defense.

But this didnt sound like a rumor, it sounded like a report as if he said it himself about coming in january.

yeah you guys are definately set in his position, we just got rid of nazr though, he can be a huge help for us coming off the bench, atleast he was last year, but that was starting. I think he'd be more affective for us playing the bench role for sure. Amir johnson isnt ready yet. and we kind of lack in size, he'd be a dope safeguard and support.

In other good news we just got rodney stuckey back in action too, hes supposed to be sweet, we shall see.

^Hey man, credit Pistons' shitty play to Boston's excellent D... you guys aren't the only one who knows how to play D, you know... besides, I actually like the Pistons, but I'm a fan of KG and I want him to win one since he's finally with a team that will give him a chance... but if they don't do it, I will be rooting for the Pistons.

I think that game really boiled down to mentals... Boston kinda took themselves out of their element in order to contend with the Pistons... they won't be so nervy next time. I don't follow the technical aspects as much as the intangibles... it's what I based most of my predictions on and I'm usually right... I had a feeling that Boston would let that one slip away because of the challenge they were facing and the fact that they weren't ready.

im going to stop trying to change celtics fan's mind lol, only thing they could have improved in is pierce, Allen, garnett and rondo all played tremendous, but we figured rondo by the 1st quarter, their bench isnt gonna perform against a good defensive team that wont double team. We played like shit in most areas, tayshaun scored 2, rasheed had alot of shots rim out, and our bench production was cut in half. One of our key bench guys whos put up 20 in some games already in murray didnt play neither. We improve in any of the 3-5 areas we can improve in, im not worried. If webber ends up helping and stuckey develops by playoffs, than im REALLY not worried. We play each other again soon though, should be good. But i doubt if we beat you every game in regular season it'd change any celts fans mind about the em. You'll see the harsh truth come april.

theyre a good team, but theyre not ready for any elite teams. and i love KG and ray saying that. I love seeing KG do well, they got a shot at making ECF for sure with the heavy lack of competition in the east and maybe pulling out 1st seed, but i wouldnt get your hopes up past that. Just my two cents.

I thought the reason why Webber wasn't on the Pistons right now was because of a contract issue and getting him part of the squad. I vagulely remember something in that nature, so probably not true.

Nah, it doesnt have anything to do with a contract issue im pretty certain, he just wanted some time off to revaluate if he wanted to continue to play. There is no contract issue or they wouldnt be blasting all over espn on how hes talking about coming back without mentioning that
