Finally Mr. Stern, thank you for shoveling another boring Shaq-Kobe "rivalry" Christmas Day game down our throats!!

This is what everyone wants to see... Wade vs. LeBron. Let us not forget the 80 point display they once put on as they both went for 40-plus points a couple of years ago.

I forgot who said it but it's obvious that Cleveland and LeBron aren't the main reason for finals ratings dipping so low. If they were, would the NBA pick them to headline their main holiday event? The NBA Christmas game isn't as popular but is basically the same as the NFL's turkey day games.

Again, the finals were rated low because most everyone knew it would be no contest, both teams are small market teams and one of them is what the general public views as the leagues most boring team.

I wouldn't. If you've watched D-Wade and LeBron go head to head, they simply bring the best out of each other.

Kobe is better than them both but with them being friends and the history of their past matchups, it's definitely more appealing than Kobester being involved in yet another Christmas day game, he'll probably be demanding more trades by then.

There's no such thing as a boring NBA game to me on paper because I appreciate all aspects of basketball. It's only boring when someone is winning by 20+.

I never said the Cavs were the most exciting team to watch, all I stated was that they aren't the sole reason the finals lacked ratings. The Cavs (LeBron) continue to draw big regular season and playoff ratings which is even more clear when you see the NBA make a move to give them the Christmas day game.

i just hope the heat actually picks up a good player this off-season. they got like, two centers in their mid-30's, then payton, walker, and j-dub are all in their 30's and getting injured left and right.

yeah that game couple years ago in cleveland when shaq was out was nuts. the last quarter was literally lebron vs wade AND it went down to the wire. too bad it was like at 2pm on a saturday and no one gave a shit.

there's no reason why there shouldn't be a double header here..first, cleveland/miami then phoenix/dallas..it just makes sense, the two biggest "rivalries" in the league by FAR. nothing else is even close. phoenix/sa maybe, but nobody likes the spurs.

It will be a doubleheader but they haven't announced the other game yet... Phoenix/Dallas is the most likely canidate IMO.
