I don't know man, I'm honestly not happy about this. Our organization royally screwed Lance. I love Briggs, and he was not treated fairly at all. They should have payed him instead of franchising him. Now he will probably be disgruntled in the locker room...I really hate how cheap the owners are, Briggs deserved a long term deal more so than Tilman in my opinion.

With a cover 2 scheme, you do not need shut down corners, because you always have safety help over the top. Therefore, resigning Tillman shouldn't have been the priority imo...whereas with the cover 2, you need an outside linebacker with speed and great instincts, both of which Briggs has. dunno its a tough conference this year

the lions are in playoff contention, and therefore should be in contention for this weak division

the vikings and packers have made upgrades

the bears have only gotten worse and most likely wont start the season with a huge streak

Packers really didn't do anything in the offseason besides loose Ahman Green and then not address needs. Vikings are going into the season with Jackson at QB and didn't do much to upgrade the receivers.

I hate to say it but the Bears will more then likely walk away with the NFC North

I could see a 10-6 season, at the worst.

The defense got better, the only real loss was Jones, but Benson had to be the guy now.
