Gatti is phasing out now, he's no longer a contendor for anything, so I have no real desire to watch him fight. It's just like the Roy Jones fight coming up--- I used to love Roy--- but he's so past his prime that whatever he's doing now isn't as important to me as it once was.

there is no chance for margarito against floyd...

I was ringside in Atlantic City last night. Sat a few rows behind Bert Sugar and Angelo Dundee. During the main event, Cintron sat right in front of me along with his daughter. Boardwalk Hall wasn't as packed as usual, but I managed to meet Malignaggi, who was very courteous.

^Yea it was. But it was a said day for Italian Americans. I be them gual gualas out in Cali wanted to riot when slow ass margarito got beat. Dude really has no power and he's too slow for Mayweather. He's just another Baldomir but with less loses. I've been saying that dude is fuckin garbage from the start. He swings too wide and has absolutely no snap on his punches. I mean, Mayorga swung wide but at least he was entertaining. Cotto vs. Williams will be a good fight. The winner will have a date with Mayweather in 2008.

Margarito to me is decent. He's hard nosed and tough. But when it comes to elite boxers he will just get completely outclassed.


Margarito needs to fight guys like Cotto, Hatton type fighters. Fighters who will let you hit them.


Margarito stands no chance against good boxers (Mayweather, Moseley). They will just pick him apart. Hes too open, wide and slow.

Mayweather beats Margarito by a lopsided UD, Mosely could do the same, but Shane sometimes falls victim to the crowd and he'd slug some with Margarito and brawl some, making it a closer, but still easy UD

even if margarito fought guys who are hittable... those dudes would hit him much more often and they still got faster hands tehn margarito.. overrated bum..

but cotto williams will be good..

but i see cotto hurting him inside with the body shots.. he doesnt allow his opponents to tie him up like alot of fighters.. he stays busy inside.. and he has much more snap and crisp punches then margarito..

cotto by TKO 8/9round if he would vs. paul williams..

Shaeffer and Arum meet today at lunch to talk about Pacquiao/Barerra. Arum also mentioned Cotto/Mosely would be disscussed. Now that Margarito lost, Cotto/Mosley might be really discussed as a serious fight real soon.

It was sad to see Gatti go like that... again, after all he's given to the sport. He really had no business in that one last fight, neither does Morales soon.

I've come to believe that Antonio Margarito is more full of himself than my dude Floyd Mayweather.


I hate it when dudes cant accept the loss. A controversial loss is one thing, but a clear cut loss is another. He was disrespectful towards Williams after the fight and he's still complaining now.

He said he was robbed and he says the fight was rigged because Goosen promoted it.

The fight was in Margarito territory with two California judges, he couldnt have gotten more. Hell no the fight wasnt rigged.


He got dominated in through the first 6 rounds and Paul managed to win at least 2 of the final 6.


Clear cut UD for Paul, I dont think anybody who scored the fight have Margarito winning it.
