I think the trade was decent, but I donno for sure. I guess it does mean Lewis is definitely not re-signing...but if he was, I'd move him to PF...unless they plan to make Durant PF, Green SF, and Wally SG. Otherwise, it may be a bit crowded and unbalanced....and their Center position is still suspect with Wilcox, Swift, and the lottery pick from last year, Sear Sene...so they'll still have a weak post game from how it looks.

i dunno, i think seattle could keep lewis and run him at the 4, get a whole phoenix uptempo thing going on.

since golden state is a poor man's phoenix, i suppose seattle would become a homeless man's phoenix?

won't win very many games out west, but they'd be fun to watch!

i think they should let lewis walk though, build through the draft next season and get a true PF. they'd be set.

ray allen is old, but so is steve nash, and many other superstars are either in their early-30's or pushin' 30 (bryant, mcgrady, garnett, duncan, etc.) but are still puttin' up incredible numbers. don't count niggas out, yet. allen's been averaging 20+ for like five seasons in a row. that nigga is not slowing down 'til he's at least 34 or 35. that's two, three season from now.

this trade doesn't really matter at all. ray allen won't help the celtics come any closer to a championship team than keeping jeff green. the celtics are too inexperienced and paul pierce isn't that good of a player to begin with. paul pierce is not going to carry a team to a championship, neither will ray allen. they've both proved it in their careers. those two are just simply two good players but they're not dominating. with pierce and allen around, they're won't be too many shots for the other guys and the celtics still don't have a pg or center.

the celts will make the playoffs but they'll be out of the 1st round, paul pierce will opt out of his contract and go play somewhere else after next year...

Well on my 2K7, I have it looking just like chickenwang put it, but I have Delonte West starting over Ridnour...their numbers last year were nearly identical though. I think Green is too slow to play SG, but I don't really see him coming off the bench.....however, they could start Wally at SG instead, and have Green as a SG/SF backup. If so, they'll have some solid backups with him and Ridnour/West, but the rest of their team is still hella average. I doubt Sene or Swift will blossom as they want them to at the center position, and Collison was probably just a college star at best.

and make no mistake, ridnour is the starting pg of that team. west isn't much of a PG, i'd think he'd be better suited as a eddie house/salim stoudamire kinda player.

but yeah, i think seattle should have gotten corey brewer. i was pretty shocked to see them not take him actually.

i ultimately see this trade backfiring on the celtics big time, only because pretty much every move they've made has backfired. trading telfair away for brandon roy seems a tad foolish now doesn't it? i'm sure there will be someone between picks 5-14 that boston coulda had who will absolutely flourish in his rookie year, causing boston to riot...assuming they still give a shit about the celtics.
