BIG TRADE involving the LAKERS
My inside sources tell me that the Lakers/Pacers agree to trade Andrew Bynum, Kwame Brown, Jordan Farmar, 19th pick, and some fillers (S&T Aaron Mckie) for JO + pick?. Furthermore, the Rockets and Lakers are in negotiation that possibly sending Luther Head + Bonzi Wells for Brain Cook + Sasha Vujacic + 40th pick and Cash. The reason for the holdup is because the Rockets ask for Ronny Turiaf instead of Sasha Vujacic but the Lakers do not want to deal Ronny.

Other news regarding Kobe, was the Lakers won’t trade Kobe Bryant, at least not this offseason.

KOBE + ODOM + JO = best trio in the NBA.

Add HEAD and BONZI in the mix and you got yourself a contender, not to mention we'll still have the MLE to get a player like Steve Blake.

With the triangle offense you do not need a point guard in the true sense of the word. You only need a good ball handler to initiate the offense with the first post entry pass.

I think Odom and JO are a bit inconsistent, with Odom being worst, and both are injury prone...but having both gives us a lot more cushion.

I definitely didn't say JO is unstoppable...and I even said that he is not as consistent. I'm just not positive that KG, Kobe, and Walton would be better than Odom, JO, and Kobe...because Odom is CLEARLY better than Walton, regardless of consistency, and Garnett is better than JO but not by as much as Odom is over Walton. If I gave Garnett a 95, I'd give JO anwhere from an 88-91......and if I gave Odom an 85, I'd only give Luke a 75-78....get what I am sayin?

And I wouldn't really expect to get JO without givin up Odom, but it could happen if we gave something like Bynum, Luke, and Kwame, which is honestly too much, but would be worth it if I was the Pacers.

LOL... it sounds like you popped in NBA Live and read off the player ratings.

Both duos would be good to work with Kobe but I don't see the Lakers really getting too much of anything this offseason without giving up Odom AND Bynum... they don't really have too many pieces people want and not a bunch of expiring contracts or high draft picks.

I guess I have some kind of bias in those kind of deals since I don't think Bynum is ever going to pan out to something great.
