I was reading an article today on cnnsi, in their truth and rumors section and apparently our GM Pax is dumb as hell. Don't get me wrong, every thing he has done up to this point, I have agreed with and supported whole heartedly, but when I read that he is seriously considering drafting Noah with the ninth pick, I got pissed. That would be the dumbest pick in the league. He is a lesser version of Tyson Chandler, and that is saying a lot. He can not score with his back to the basket, so he adds nothing to our team offensively. We cannot have him and Ben Gordon as our two post players and expect to beat Detroit and Cleveland. It just won't happen. Thoughts?

Noah is an interesting choice, hard to say.

I want the Chinese guy or Spencer Hawes. Don't get me wrong, they are both soft, but they both will be able to come in and score. That's all we need from a post guy. If we get a post scorer capable of scoring 12-15 points a game that we can go to when the jumpers aren't falling, I truly believe we're playing for an NBA title.

well, you're certainly one player away from playing for a title, or conference finals atleast. But i dont know if any of those guys can get the job done.

I certainly don't want Noah, I'm praying for a big SG more than anything because none of the guys who might be there for us will be superior post players. We need to trade for that.

noah would be a good pick for the bulls because there's simply no other big man available at their 9 pick. i don't think spencer hawes is the bulls answer. i rather get a productive player like noah or trade up in the pick or trade it for a pf like zach randolph is will be available...

bulls in the finals next year!

I could very well be wrong, but Noah is terrible. He is the equivalent of Josh McRoberts, and anyone that was here during the college basketball season knows how I feel about Josh. Noah is a good complimentary player, but who is he going to compliment in the low block? We cannot afford two offensive liabilities in the post. With Noah we would regress instead of improve. I like Spencer Hawes a lot actually. I don't think he will be a star, but I can see him being productive and averaging 12-15 points a game.

Since I know you are a Knicks fan, I won't even argue with you about whether or not Tyrus is better than Curry, but you miss the point completely when people call that trade the worst trade ever. I'm going to ignore the Kobe rumors although they are running rampant and everyone is claiming Chicago is his first choice and was one of the clubs he considered before signing the extension with LA couple of years back.

A new rumor popped up which was Gooden to the Bulls for Andres Nocioni. I don't know how great that is but judging by his Playoff performance, that's a negative. We shouldn't have taken Gasol, and we shouldn't go for Kobe IMO.

I think if we get a scoring PF or C, a seasoned veteran, then ideally we would want a Spencer Hawes/Joakim Noah coming off the bench to bring that energy. Noah is like a bigger Ben Wallace with a bit more of an offensive game. The passion and effort is definitely there, he's still young so therefore he can still improve.

Spencer Hawes, supposedly is too soft, too slow, but can still score. Well here's a proposition, that can help the Bulls go a different direction. Trade a resigned Andres Nocioni, Ben Gordon, Viktor Khrapya, and a resigned PJ Brown for a man called Kevin Garnett. Mchale is listening to offers and this would be a no brainer for Minnesota. Garnett is not getting any younger. This way the Bulls can draft one of the tall young swingman, and Sefolosha can keep his spot warm until he's ready to deliver. The line up would look like this:

C - Ben Wallace, Malik Allen
PF - Kevin Garnett, Tyrus Thomas
SF - Luol Deng, Julian Wright
SG - Thabo Sefolosha, Adrian Griffin
PG - Kirk Hinrich, Chris Duhon

Plus the Bulls have two second round picks I believe. This is in a fantasy world of course.

My ideal scenario would be Andres Nocioni, PJ Brown, Chris Duhon for Zach Randolph. That way they can concentrate the pick on a big swingman, or a Joakim Noah/Spencer Hawes type guy. I think Z-Bo is the guy for us to be honest. But I'm still unsure, cuz those Kobe Bryant rumors are pretty heavy, and I think it'd be fucked up that Paxson would throw everything he's built for the past 4 years for a chance at Kobe.

But then again, a player like Kobe doesn't become available everyday...

FYI Bulls have 19.3 Million dollars in cap space this off season without resigning anybody and not drafting anyone. Their draft pick will get about 2.2 million if he's a 9th pick overall.
