That team definitely caught lightning in a bottle but it wasn't so much the offense (they had homers but bottom-half in a bunch of offensive cats.)

That team got RIDICULOUS pitching that whole year. Quality starts basically everytime and the pen was dominant. That normally doesn't continue.

the pitching staff that year was unbelieveable
basically have the same pitching staff now but they have horrible run support
with Thome,Dye,Konerko,Crede
how could they have such horrible run support?
never understand it but when they finally do score some runs
thier bullpen usually blows it

I'm not really that concerned, I mean our pitching ain't as good as 2005, but it ain't as bad as people think, our bullpen struggles some but most of the time they're pretty good, considering our offense is in dead last in damn near erything, the pitching staff is holding they own, it's only a matter of time before the offense kicks it up and we'll be good, shouldn't be no panicing goin' on rite now cuzin, be easy, it ain't like we tryin to run down the Red Sox or something

They needed a productive centerfielder they got Erstad and he got injured...trading Rowand really was a horrible idea...although they did get Thome that had a monster first half last season, he's a DH and he even cooled off and got injured....

although Elduque was inconsistent he still was the only one on their team with real world series experience and could handle in the bullpen in those pressure situations....

Freddy Garcia somehow was great and Garland had a career year...their starting pitchers in 2005 outside of Elduque all had over 200 innings pitched and not to mention they had career years out of Cliff Pollite, Neal Cotts, Marte, and Luis Vizcaino who really arent worth shit now...and Bobby Jenks was a shut down closer...

Scott ••••ednik also isnt feared on the bases like he was then...and hes on the DL....they are horrible at manufacturing runs...

and who said signing Javier Vasquez was a good idea?? He hasnt been shit since his last season with the Expos....

bullpen is outright pathetic

their in ••h place in their divison and the Royals are like only 1 1/2 behind them
the Royals!
even the royals look better than the white sox
and the devil rays have a better record than them to!!!
