two things holding back t-mac for his playoff career:

until a player is actually on a team, you have no idea how they will coincide... yao's style of play doesn't really accomodate a quick playmaker like lebron very well, because (1) he has trouble catching the ball and (2) when he does catch the ball, his movements aren't that quick to respond for his move to the hoop

it happened several times with mcgrady, and i guarantee a lot of lebron's zippier passes would go to waste

and, he hasn't shown that he can elevate his game in the postseason

he shot 44% against mehmet okur's defense and got worked by carlos boozer

yao puts up eye-catching numbers, but he doesn't really impact or change the game for the players around him

i wouldn't be surprised if cleveland would have lost the series in 5 games with him in z-ill's place. why? because they'd feel obligated to run more of the offense around him, and he'd do nothing but disappoint

the houston rockets may need to think about getting rid of him, because the only team successful operating around a low-post presence like that is san antonio... and, tim duncan is a lot more agile and dexterous than yao

no one is saying Yao is the best player in the league, sure hes not a quick, athletic type player, doesn't mean he doesn't command double teams, he can pull bigs out of the lane because they have to respect his range, hes a better post defender than Z, etc...

using Yao as some kind of scapegoat as to why T-Mac hasn't been out of the first round the last 2 playoff runs with Houston is retarded... his slowfooted ass still dropped 25 and 10 this postseaon...

maybe Mcgrady shooting sub 40% from the field in the Utah series is a better reason for their L...
