....from Washington for our 6th round draft pick. I don't know too much about him other than that he excelled in St. Louis with Lovie Smith and lesser talented defensive teamamtes. I know he also lays the wood liek nobodies business. We have to have some of the hardest hitting safeties in football now.

plain and simple he sucks.. hes a lb trying to play S and as we have seen with roy williams it aint working..

who wants a Safety that cant cover??? been in the league 6 yrs and has 3 INts to show for it hahahahaha

not only that but the one area he excelled at, playing in the box close to the LOS, has regressed.. hes not a very good tackler and takes bad angles..

there is a reason why he got benched in Washington and got traded after the first yr in a multi yr deal.. its cus he sucks

he had 102 tackles in 2002 no1 who sucks gets 102 tackles.

What I like is that he lays dudes out. So long as he gets 40-50 tackles, great. No way he'll get much more in Chicago anyway. But I want receivers shitting their pants when they go over the middle. We have 3 safeties who can just knock you the fuck out. Brown and Manning are pretty good in coverage. But as far as the hard hitters, we don't ask too much of our secondary other than sure tackling cause of the D-Line. Everything else is bonus.

It's why the Bears will probably let Vasher go and re-sign Tillman after this year. Because Tillman is a prototypical Cover 2 corner. He's big, strong and a great tackler. I've seen Tillman stick HB's on outside running plays.

as i've tried to explain to you people many times, tackles are overrated and often misleading... racking up tackles doesnt equate to greatness..

a safety who gets 100 tackles is very good.. I never said he was great but he worked great in that system as they need a runstopper because their lbs suck.

73.8 tackles, 3.8 PD, 2.7 sacks, .5 FF, .5 INTs

per game

5 tackles, .26 PD, .18 sack, .03 FF, .03 INT

as ive stated he sucks.. and the fact that he was a 1st rd pick and it makes it even worse.. u can find Safeties on day 2 that can put up those numbers

he has no coverage skills at all and his tackling/blitzing is regressing

his tackles were more of a reflection of STL shitty defenses and not his actual ability

last yr u guys had daniel manning @ FS and Mike brown @ SS i beleive.. unless they move manning to Cb somebody has to be a backup

@ CB u have tillman, vasher, then manning at nickelback.. Brown slids to FS and AA plays SS

or tillman and vasher @ CB.. manning and brown @ S with AA backing up brown

Archuleta was decent for the rams for a bit... good tackler.. his coverage is booty tho

since lovie was the d coord. in st louis i guess he's a lil more obligated to start him. i duno tho

bears were worse against the run then they were the pass.. so this might be a good move
