Which of these do you think is more absurd because one of the individuals is way better than the other? I think it's Kobe vs. Shaq cuz Kobe has way more skills than Shaq, but some people used to say Shaq was the best player in the Lakers.

Shaq is way more valuable to a team than Kobe. Does that make him a better player? Depends. Skills wise? Fuck no Kobe is the better basketball player. Shaq still has a bigger impact on a team though has always played with a talented SG @ his side. Nowadays Kobe has a bigger impact arguably.

skills wise of course not. shaq in his prime averaged 28 ppg and shot no way near as much as kobe has to. shaq demanded a double team and would hit open teammates to yak a open 3. shaq is one of the best players ever and so is kobe but i'd take shaq in his prime over kobe in his prime

Kobe has saved Shaq countless times. who did the lakers go to during crunch time? Kobe while Shaq just watched in amazement. I doubt Shaq can take a team to the playoffs by himself. He needs dat second option, dat second allstar by his side

I voted for Jackie Chan Vs. Bruce Lee. I just have this feeling that Bruce Would knock out Chan's teeth before he even though about thinking about doing something. Guys that are as sinewy as Lee are generally scary quick and very energetic.

Shaq and Kobe I honestly put on the same level talent wise. It's just that Shaq's position is the most important in basketball. It'll always be a big man sport because the closer you get to the basket, the higher the FG%.

Kobe and MJ is a very fair comparison. Both have very similar abilities and leadership qualities. Jordan arrived a little more polished and a leader faster because of college though. Both are IMO the best players of their eras and have great killer instincts. The only thing that sets them apart are MVP, which I feel Kobe keeps getting robbed of, and championships. But ever since Shaq left, IMO, Kobe hasn't had his "Scottie Pippen" caliber player while he's come into his own as far as leadership.

Sure, kobe may be more SKILLED, but is he the better and more dominant player?

That extreme example ain't even needed tho, because shaq was by far the most important in carrying the lakers to their championships, he was the centerpiece
