kobe on the houston rockets

man, i wish we had kobe bryant here in houston instead of tracy mcgrady like my boy style-rip was saying a while back

we'd be unstoppable... see us getting 65+ wins easy

kobe-yao dynasty has a better ring to it (two asian names), and kobe would be a good fit for jeff van gundy's system... another great go-to sidekick, solid team defensive scheme along with shooters he could make plays for, and the freedom to have his big scoring nights (tracy would be scoring a lot more if he could actually shoot)

andrei kirilenko (h) plays for the utah jazz, and george karl coaches the denver nuggets

and, i still say tracy mcgrady was the best player in and mvp of the league in 2002-03 (scoring champ with a 3-1 series lead collapse for a playoff loss like kobe bryant in 2005-06)

i still don't know why i participated so passionately in the debate with style-rip, though... it was nothing more than a pathetic "my daddy is stronger than yours" argument with neither of us sharing blood with the dudes

you can't look at them now and say the argument then didn't have merit, because two things affected both of their progressions to this point

(1) health and (2) team environments

1. tracy's back is faulty
2. the staff and team around him in orlando was horrible and definitely more responsible for their failures than he was as evidenced by his mvp candidacy level play here in houston

kobe's team environment was ideal from his rookie season onward

1) one of kobe's nuts is smaller than the other, which causes discomfort every time he takes a jumpshot
2) mcgrady's back was fine when he was leading the league in scoring, but now it's faulty? i thought it's supposed to have been a chronic issue?
3) no excuses. kobe will always be > mcgregery

tmac needs the fire kobe has, pple may think mac plays w/ no energy or explosiveness, he just looks that way, his style, but sometimes doesnt give it 100%, lets see if he can turn it on in the playoffs, how the fuck can a guard shoot below 70ft%? painful to watch
