al mvp - derek jeter ties justin morneau; jeter has carried this team all year. he is consistent and always positive around the club house. morneau has given twins the power theyve lacked in recent years

al cy young - johan santana; automatic

al closer of the year - joe nathan; superb as always

al roy - francisco liriano; teams had no answer for him

al comeback - frank thomas

al manager of the year - ken macha; the a's struggled early on and dealt with numerous injuries to harden, street, duscherer, and chavez. chavez also has had a poor year in comparison to his career. dan johnson spent months in triple a trying to find his swing again.

nl mvp - ryan howard; without him the phillies are under .500. its a shame they played such shitty ball, especially at home, for the first part of the season. mix & match starting rotation but howard gave those guys wins

nl cy young - roy oswalt; one of my favorite pitchers. he is always composed and 95% of the time he gives a quality start. rarely does he get knocked out early - 31/32 starts 6 ip+

nl roy - hanley ramirez; provided the spark for the young marlins sluggers to knock in. 51 stolen bases

nl comeback player of the year - nomar garciaparra

nl manager of the year - joe girardi; the marlins were supposed to be in contention with the royals for worst team in the majors

nl most improved player - dave roberts; one of my favorite players in baseball. quick as fuck (49 stolen bases / 6 caught stealing). bunts, triples, you name it. without him san diego is not in the playoffs.
