Why do UFC fans and Dana White constantly have to bash BOXING?

I mean shit I love both....but it seems dana white needs to bash boxing every chance he gets the dude is a greedy scum bag ...did you see the type of fans he is trying to get? he has a new show the next ufc ring card girl! and she probally gets paid more then the fighters...

This is why I love PRIDE they respect all forms of fighting...they dont feel insecure like ufc....dana white the amatuer boxer who couldnt make it in the pros.

also dana white disses PRIDE fighting when they signed tyson well what are they supposed to do? bring some c level celebs and porn stars and show them on camera to gain acceptance?

What was funny is I watched the dana white post fight presser for hughes vs penn and he dissed pride saying pride who?

and then he dissed MANNY PACQUIAO...and no one laughed only 1 guy laughed when the reporters asked "you have a fight on the same day of the pacquiao morales fight are you worried" and dana acted like pacquiao wasnt shit. he acting like he wasnt worried but then he is looking to not hold it in las vegas on the same day?? if he was so confident why not hold it in vegas as well and take some of the hype away from the pacquiao fight? dude acting like his ufc lineup is gonna be way more exciting.

Alot of these people sound jealous all they say is oh an mma guy will beat a boxer...who cares man they are sports for crying out loud...some of these ufc guys are so bitter one time we were all watching the dela hoya vs mayorga fight and 1 white guy wasnt even enjoying it....saying id rather watch some good ground and pound...wtf?

I hope PRIDE brings there awesome production to REAL DEAL im getting sick of these ufc die hard trashy fans.

It's definately jealousy. Jealous that boxing, even with all of the BS that goes on, is still much more popular than UFC. I don't see UFC ever being more popular than boxing either. Too much history, too many heroes. Boxing is just IMO a beautiful sport, while I don't find anything really appealing about UFC. I mean, I'll still watch it, but not over a great boxing match.

Closest I ever did to MMA was wrestled in high school. But to me boxing has some sort of allure to it.

I've been planning to go into boxing training for a while now. If I'm good, I might try to give it a shot, but I'm talking not til I have at least a good year of training under my belt. LOL, now I have to just get to the damn gym, which to my defense is about 40 minutes away.

i'm a fan of both , well all ( boxing , ufc , pride, k-1 and k.o.c.) i spent 3yrs boxing , 7 in tai kickboxing and about 2 1/2 yrs jui jitsu . all these sports have great fighters ,yes boxing has history ,but look at marital arts in a whole they also have history. i believe dana just wants to stir shit , he likes doing that. him fucking with pride is dumb , because in many ways he can cash in big. like what has gone about liddel fighting again in pride against pride silva. bashing boxing like i said he wants the lights. what i've done in my life all are so much different, but the same in many ways. pac man is a great figher hands down, 2nd best pound for pound in my book. when folks say a boxer can't hang in mma, yes and no,. yes if he has some training in the ground defense and know how to protect his legs, both are a need , unless you run up on a cat who likes to throw some hands. the legs need to be protected , because the other fighter is just going to kick the shit out of your legs until you can't move and then come in. the ground game you already know. in all if pacman fights on the same night as a ufc event, i'll watch pacman and us my dvr for ufc. i don't know if anyone knows this or even knows who i'm talking about , but dana signed kimbo to ufc , just for some stand up fights

if you were a real boxing fan you would know pacquiao makes a ufc fight look like a baseball game.

alot of mma fights is cquick the stand up is sloppy because they aint wearing gloves and they have very few wars and when they do happen they look so sluggish and lame like bonnar vs grifin or cyborg vs maneouf dudes got tired.

the best mma fights to me is when the fight is constantly moving usually when guys are showing there judo, and jiu jitsu like diego vs karo that was exciting....or that rrecent fight with kendall grove and ed herman that was exciting.

Personally I think the Pride show in America is going to blow, it's UFC rules without elbows, and all the matches they have extremely heavy favorite, save for a few fights.

I'm not a huge fan of boxing, I can't stand to watch it now because I'm always thinking of a takedown or something, and I can't stand watching a jiujitsu match either. I love MMA.

That said, I think MMA and boxing can co-exist together.

I don't think MMA's stand up is 'sloppy' because of the gloves, it's just different. You can't do a lot of the things that boxers can do because it leaves you vulnerable for a lot of things that boxers don't need to watch out for. Obviously these guys aren't going to beat a boxer in a boxing match, but they aren't boxers, so it doesn't matter.

I also think that more people are standing to please the uneducated fans, like matt hughes saying recently that he wants to knock people out.... dude isn't a boxer, why's he wanna knock people out? A submission is just as good. Or leben a while back apologizing that he subbed someone instead of a knock out, like seriously, apologizing for not knocking someone out, how lame is that?

lmao word at hughes...the reason hughes said that is cause he knows the majority of people who watch ufc dont like take downs or grappling they boo so much they want to see stand up and knock downs.

but i dont thnk pride is gonna blow....i just dont like ufc atmostphere i like a respectabe show and the production and value is like the academy awards...dana white is trying to make as much money as he can and shit by targeting the wrong kinda fans the fans with no brains...the fans who like some low class shit.
