because that sure as hell didnt increase posting here.. all it did was let people download in a subforum

Yeah, other than posting videos Ragu didn't contribute much. A few other people posted videos too and they actually made worthwhile posts while they were at it. And at least Verb doesn't post here any more.

I know I could do a lot more for this forum.. if janitor were to ask.. which he doesnt .. because he probably doesnt care about this forum..

if it's this big of a deal to people.. im sure we could all do something about it

right now.. this is the only wrestling forum i post on

so i have some time to put into it

bringing the dl's back would be a good start for more hits

I don't really know what to say to this.

This forum has become more based off interactions among people, and not just clicking your mouse on your computer for instant gratification when you come back every 8 months. We've built a small community here (very small, but still active), where you're able to be familiar with the names you see in the majority of posts.

There might be some positives and negatives about it, but right now I think it's as steady as it's ever been in terms of giving out topics of conversation where people can be open to bring up pretty much anything, and still come back in the next day or two and find something worth replying to.

Maybe it's different, but it's nearly the same as it's been since before Masterragu officially retired, with the exception of some posters coming back as much as possible or as much as it's worth just to keep the forum active- and that's on their own accord, without being bribed into it. I think that's what makes this forum and the people who contribute great. That, and for some posters this place is the polar opposite of every forum they hate on here.

I sometimes think that maybe I don't do enough for this forum as a mod (giving incentives, etc.) but the difference is that I'm on here quite often, contributing as a member of the site (which I would attribute to actually having been offered the spot in the first place) and everybody here keeps the forum running throughout the day. We're not a 30 reply per thread zone - we have a taste for switching subjects, which is a far less monotonous form of conversation.

I legitimately praise the Smack Down forum.

I'm all for feedback, but you're wrong on this one. The state of wrestling isn't good right now, but the state of Smack Down is fine. Actually, this forum is exactly the same as it ever has been and will probably never change a whole lot. The only change that has ever happened was just who the regulars were depending on their level of interest of the wrestling product. Trust me, I made one of the first posts here. Same shit, different year.

No offense to Ragu at all because he's one of my favorite people from here, but Gorilla position was dead on its feet long before he left. I tried to revive it for a little bit after he left but there were only a few people that would download, and it became a waste of forum. So I just moved the disclaimer here and asked for the forum to be removed. It's not just up to the mods to upload things, which is a good thing, because my online resources are limited as fuck.

I'll admit I've been slacking a little with the thread making because of the dullness of wrestling and I have my own stuff to deal with, but I still keep it moving as much as I can. You can't force people to post, all you can do is give them something to respond to. I'll get back around to uploading and all the other stuff (prediction contests, yada yada) soon though.

Plus Memento's one of the best mods this forum has ever had, and he's waay more active than Ragu and I were put together when we were running things.
