The Fast National rating for WWE's "Saturday Night's Main Event" came in below a 3.4 last night (specific numbers were not available at press time), indicating that wrestling's presence on a major network did nothing to revitalize interest in the product.

According to Nielsen Media Research, NBC's two hours of wrestling caused the network to place last among the four channels offering national programming Saturday night.

The professional wrestling industry was looking for a significantly higher number, going as far as to suggest that anything below a 5.0 would be a disappointment.

While those within the TV industry had lower expectations, the score is also below those estimates and does not create an optimistic outlook for future WWE programming on NBC (outside of the confirmed summer SNME).

WWE sources will likely attribute the low rating to the NCAA tournament, but even then, the company will not be able to spin this as great news.

^yea, overall I was pretty dissappointed too. had potential to be great, but w/e.

They advertised the hell out of it also..

then again it was up against the NCAA tourny...I was watching the tourny and taped SNME and watched it later...

true, but also I really didn't like how the tag match was first. Also, I didn't like how they executed it. IT kinda felt too short. I think it was like maybe, about 12 mins maybe? I think they should of made it the main event, or right before the main event, and made it to be about a 20 min match atleast. Felt way to quick.

And then the boogeyman shit wit booker_T is just getting annoying and stupid IMO. I was really dissappointed and just left like after the first hour, smackdown was better, and that was just decent for me.

^haha yea, that was pretty stupid. But the main event on Smackdown, (Randy, Angle and REy v.s Mark Henry and MnM) I think was better than the 3-on-2 shit on SNME. And I liked the Finlay-Lashley match, and there were some other decent match-ups throughout.

But RAW i loved on Monday, I think they did really nicely on Monday, and crowd was real good too. Added to show nicely. good shit on RAW. RAW is killin' smackdown so much. They need another draft.

wwe are stupid the reason cena got over in the first place was cuz he played to the crowd and shit

they dont do that no more they dont even make him go up turbuckles during entrances to raise his belt and point to the audience

and he should be more realistic.....in offstage segments, as the interviewer approaches him, make him writing graffiti on the arena walls or some shit...u know the type of stuff young hoodlums do in their spare time

i think they taking a step in that direction tho tonight. With him interuppting Vince, and it looks like him and Michaels gonna get screwed out of this match by Vince somehow

SNME was dissapointing, and if i were to, for the first time on cable, see WWE for the first time or in a long time, i would say wrestling is fkn wack

SNME wasnt as advertised as much as it should have been, but the end result is that it was overrated and dissapointing
