It always bothers me when people refer to WWF in the 80's or 90's as WWE. I know it's probably because of the panda people's lawsuit, but it still just seems wrong.

I think they would've been fine as long as they kept the old-school WWF logo, but when they switched to the scratch-style Attitude logo, they violated the agreement they had with thm, so they sued, and WWF had the "get the F out".

Ever noticed when they interview someone like Bret Hart from that era they always look like they have to stop themselves before saying the F?

That's actually the interview I was thinking of when I typed that. The legal thing with WWF seems kind of weird to me. They can show the old WWF logo, but not the new one (which is bad, because around 98-99 that logo was EVERYWHERE at WWF events), and they can't say WWF, but they can say World Wrestling Federation. I think they actually dub "World Wrestling Federation" over any time an announcer says "WWF" on the old matches they release on DVDs now.

As a side note, did anyone notice that they actually cut Jesse Ventura out of the commentary on one of the matches on the Bret Hart DVD, so it was just Vince McMahon calling it on his own? Vince McMahon announcing himself just doesn't work.
