Question & Answer: Jerry Lynn, HOF Tag Teams, Ric Rude, Etc
PWINSIDER.COM Q&A: JERRY LYNN, HALL OF FAME CALIBER TAG TEAMS, RICK RUDE, & MORE

Hey guys! Great site as always! I have really enjoyed your Elite Q & A's. It's another shining example of you guys going above and beyond for us Elite Members. I had a question with regards to the WWE Hall of Fame. I know that the Valiant Brothers are in the hall but I was wondering if you could discuss what other tag teams you feel should be inducted as a team. The Road Warriors immediately come to mind for myself but are there any other teams that you think should be inducted and who do you think has an actual shot of going into the hall as a team? Keep up the great work!
Off the top of my head, I would agree with the Road Warriors. Cases could be made for the Wild Samoans, The British Bulldogs, The Dudley Boyz, and (if you are going to include NWA accomplishments), the Midnight Express and the Rock N’ Roll Express. Those would be my picks.
My friend and I were watching "The Masterpiece" rip off a bunch of wrestlers in his debut, and we were trying to remember what Rick Rude’s finishing move was. In our opinion, he was the best at the cocky, body builder type gimmick. So what was his move, and who do you think was best at this gimmick?
I would agree with you that Rick Rude was the best at this specific type of gimmick. His finisher was a neckbreaker that he christened the “Rude Awakening.”
Mick Foley's book and most of the Wrestling bios that I've read talk about guys that travel the road together-I know Foley ran with Austin and Regal for a while-does that tradition still persist? If so, who are some of the current stars who travel together?
While I’m not going to go into who travels together, the tradition does still exist. There are usually groups of guys who travel together from town to town while doing loops in order to save on funds, have some camaraderie, and to have someone they can trust watching their backs.
Has there been any consideration to doing a Wrestlemania tag team annual Cup match-like where the champs from each brand would fight at Mania and take a Cup back to their brand-or anything of that ilk? I think that could totally amp up the tag titles going into Mania...which they need. Just a thought-don't know if it's a good one.
While the tag team divisions sorely need freshening up, I don’t think they would do a cross-brand tag team tournament as traditionally tournaments in professional wrestling rarely get over in the United States.
What happened to Jerry Lynn - did he retire from wrestling or is he just Injured and waiting to return to TNA. He's one of TNA's best wrestlers so I just wondered why he wasn't being used on TV or PPV ?
Jerry Lynn, who is one of the truly good guys of the business, needed surgery on a rotator cuff tear and has been out of the ring while rehabbing the injury. He is still with TNA and is working as a road agent for TNA’s X-Division. He hopes to return to the ring in a few months.
