The latest episode of the new internet only, uncensored F' Radio show of Get In The Ring featured an interview with former three time WCW champion, "Diamond" Dallas Page.
You can listen to the interview at
www.GetInTheRing.tv. Next weeks F' Radio features an exclusive GIR interview with Vince Russo. Also, check out the GIR website for the Best of CD, T-shirt, and upcoming book.
- Dallas Page joins The Phantom & Sir Adam on the show. The interview begins with a discussion about Wrestle Reunion (
www.wrestlereunion.com), Page is excited about meeting Superstar Billy Graham and Handsome Jimmy Valiant, his favourite two wrestlers as a kid. He pushes the card as the old and the new with AJ Styles and Cowboy Bob Orton Jr. Page then goes onto push Randy Orton, and he gave Orton the Diamond Cutter upon his (first) retirement.
- Dallas Page tells the story about how he became involved in the AWA.
- Phantom asks about the reality TV show with Stone Cold Steve Austin. Page says that Austin won't do it because of his crazy personal life. Phantom asks about the amount of a** they got, DDP says not much since being single, he says he and Kimberley may get back together at some point.
- Adam asks if Page and Austin watch Raw and Smackdown, Page said they watched the show last night, they criticized it brutally, but not as much as when Kevin Nash is over. Page credits Orton again as one of the few positives in the WWE today.
- Phantom asks about HHH politics, Page said that he helped a lot of guys get jobs, and that HHH had no problems stopping using the Diamond Cutter when Page asked him too. Jake Roberts called Page up to credit him for reinventing the DDT with that move.
- The negative comments from the Ric Flair book were bought up, Page laughed them off, saying he and Ric Flair had a "lot of issues". Page defended his planning the matches in advance and tells a story when he fought Jeff Jarrett and they planned for 7 minutes, but were given 17, Page told Jarrett to walk slowly to the ring! Sting got pissed when the ref told them they had 5 more minutes during a title change.
- Page calls Hogan the man, and you only have to watch the Wrestlemania Rock match to "get it". When Flair tried to out-babyface Hogan, he failed.
- DDP confirms that he hasn't heard from Jeff Jarrett in a while and implies he won't be at the Victory Road show, but Nash & Hall will be.
- Page then talks about living with Steve Austin. He says he should've been put over Goldberg, and only watched Goldberg in the WWE during the Rock segment, and only watched Raw again when Austin moved in.
- Dallas will be working for UPW soon, and puts over John Cena who started there. He also says that no-one will remember his WWE run, but people will remember Flair today. The interview ends with another plug for
www.wrestlereunion.com.
