More info on the scary plane landing
After the taping, we went to the private airport, where we boarded a charter flight to Seoul, Korea...That is where I am at right now. We took off about 12am and flew to Alaska to re-fuel. The landing was a little scary...until we took off again and this time landed in a snowy/icy-blizzardy (not the Dairy Queen kind unfortunately) Russia in what was by far the SCARIEST landing I have ever had. In fact, I have been on a significant amount of plane rides in my life. There was one where we landed in Dallas and took off a second later...that was scary.....but NOTHING compares to the ride in and out of Russia. We flew into the blizzard with icy runways and from what I heard, they tried three different times to land before they were successful. I guess the pilots were arguing over where the runway was! They couldn't see where they were going and we were going up and down like a roller coaster, and side to side for what seemed like 10 minutes! The following take-off was probably the longest I have experienced as the runway was so icy that it took a little while before we could pick up enough speed to leave the ground. I was watching Ric Flair and he remained calm-which meant that there was no need to worry. If he survived a crash which I am sure was a traumatic experience...and was able to keep his cool, I figured that things hadn't reached the emergency point...yet.
(...added 12/10-I found out yesterday that we had also ran out of fuel trying to land three times when they couldn't find the runway. The wind was fighting against us, using more fuel than expected.. That third landing was our last hope-and we made it. Unreal. As long as I am adding here...I feel that the taping we did last night felt like my best one ever. I stopped coughing enough to get in the ring and announce, before returning to ringside so I could cough again. The show as it has been for the past month was very entertaining. It was also good to see Konan and Goldberg who were backstage visiting and it was cool to meet Tito Ortiz from UFC.)
