There will be no house shows this weekend due to the wedding. Paul “Triple H” Levesque weds Stephanie McMahon.
Randy Savage was in Philadelphia yesterday issuing yet another challenge to Hulk Hogan on WMMR radio. The host later played an audio excerpt from an interview with Hogan where he talked about how Savage blamed him for all his failed marriages and relationships. Savage retorted by calling Hogan a liar. The entire radio spot was said to be really embarrassing for the Macho Man.
The official Survivor Series page is now online and can be viewed at http://survivorseries.wwe.com.
As he stated on the McDonnell-Douglas radio show yesterday in Los Angeles, Rob Van Dam said that he has officially begun new contract talks with the WWE.
In the current edition of WWE Magazine that will be called Smackdown Magazine beginning next month, the "20 Most Important and Powerful People in Sports Entertainment" is listed. As many would expect, the McMahon Family ranked #1, which goes to show that they still consider themselves as seemingly the most integral parts of sports entertainment. Steve Austin came in at #2 followed by HHH at #3.

- Steve Austin will be appearing on the 10/28 edition of The Sharon Osbourne Show. He'll be taping the appearance this Thursday in Los Angeles to promote his forthcoming autobiography.
WWE has tossed out the idea of bringing in Japanese talent to become part of the "Japanese mafia" stable of Yoshihiro Tajiri, Jimmy Yang, and Ryan "Keiji" Sakoda. All Japan Pro Wrestling Junior Heavyweight champion Kendo Ka Shin worked a TV taping in September while Kenzo Suzuki of World Japan worked the Smackdown taping Tuesday, so they are the most obvious candidates.
Tough Enough 3 winners Matt Cappotelli & John Hennigan will be working the Smackdown house shows this weekend in Georgia, working against Sean O'Haire & former WCW worker Horsu (who is also under a developmental deal). The shows are headlined by Brock Lesnar vs. Chris Benoit.
After attacking Goldberg and trying to collect the bounty on Raw two weeks ago, Tommy Dreamer is back working as a babyface at Raw house shows this weekend against Mark Henry. The Raw shows are headlined by a "King of the World" match (no idea) where WWE Intercontinental champion Rob Van Dam defends against Chris Jericho.
I finished the Lita autobiography today. It's a great read with some shockingly blunt observations on WWE, ECW, and some of the stars of the business. For those of you who are Premium Members, I'll have an in-depth review and thoughts on the book on my Hotline update tomorrow. We've got photos and notes from her first book signing below on the Newsline as well.
Beginning next month, WWE Magazine will be renamed Smackdown Magazine according to 1wrestling. It will only contain news and articles pertaining to Smackdown superstars much like RAW Magazine currently does, so now fans won't have a one-stop source for WWE news and will have to subscribe to both magazines to get info on both WWE brands.
WWE has no house shows scheduled for Saturday so that people can attend the wedding of Stephanie McMahon and HHH. House shows start up again on Sunday with the Raw wrestlers in Florence, SC and the Smackdown brand in Albany, GA. As you would figure, there will be a number of people from the company at the nuptials.
In news that should make every wrestling fan feel just a little bit smarter, UPN announced yesterday that 'The Mullets' has been pulled from their schedule, due to bad ratings, effective immediately. It is “on hiatus” officially and has seven new shows yet to air. No word on if\when those episodes will be broadcast. UPN had hoped that the Smackdown audience would migrate over to the series, which featured two dopey wrestling fans. They didn't.
Former WWE wrestler Gillberg wasn't allowed backstage at No Mercy on Sunday by WWE because he had been advertising that he would be providing backstage reports during the show on an internet audio show. As one would expect, the door was closed on him backstage once WWE officials heard about this.
“I may be done,” are the words that came out of former WWE Champion Kevin Nash’s mouth last night backstage at RAW while visiting with friends. He told the editors of the official WWE website that he is miserable, while suffering with an injury right above his collar bone that is causing a non-stop burning sensation.
Kevin Nash’s poor physical condition is due to many years of wear and tear in the ring. One doctor told him that his neck is in worse shape than Steve Austin’s, who is said to have the worst neck of anyone.
Nash will undergo the same neck surgery that Kurt Angle had a week from tomorrow by Dr. Hae-Dong Jho in Pittsburgh. Besides Angle, Nash’s good friend Scott Hall had the surgery as well as “Brooklyn Brawler” Steve Lombardi.
Kevin Nash has not wrestled since SummerSlam and has been finishing doing work on a feature film, “The Punisher,” starring Thomas Jane, John Travolta and Rebecca Romijn-Stamos. After the surgery, Nash will see how he feels and will probably be able to make a decision on his in-ring future
