The modern state of Iraq at present time in is big trouble. The situation on
the ground can only bedescribed as a total chaos. No matter how much our
national and local media candycoats the information coming out of iraq it is
almost a complete contradiciton to what is being printed elsewhere. Just about
every forign article I've read on this subject makes me think about how much
time I've wasted reviewing the daily war update in my local paper. I have so
many strong feelings on the behavior of my government and most of the decisions
this administration has made I totally disagree with. I am also deeply
saddened by the tremdous loos of life in this region. Some much has been take from
the iraqi people by the multiple countries participating in this greusome
premeditited cowardly attack upon a defenseless enemny. Just recently the main
justification for going to war was deemed "dead wrong" this news coming
conviently three years after our "shock and awe" campaign. The borderline criminal
behavior on the part of this administration is being cloaked by huge media
conglomerates who keep the american people in the dark. This huge shadow they cast
over the actual reality that is in motion at the ground level is partialy
responsible for the american people so tremdously disinformed of the facts.

So many americans have a warped view of the facts because they are not in
touch or just to busy with their everyday lives to actually go out and research
what is really going on. Sadly, the television which is controlled by the
corporate world is the average americans only source of inforamtion on this war
and the issues contained by it. Many still believe that Iraq had nuclear
weapons and that the iraqi people had a hand in the tradgey of September eleventh.
This portion of americans in this case just happen to be the majority of the
entire nation. They continue to stand behind a leader who has lied, betrayed
and weaseled his way through 2 sepreate campaigns of war waged against the
people who attackded our nation. However, the facts show that none of them men
who supposedly masterminded these attacks on US soil were afgan or iraqi.
The facts clearly show that all of the hijackers of 9/11 were of Saudi Arabian
descent. And to no surprise this is the one nation in the middle east whom the
united states continues to have the best relations with. Although some would
say that Saddam Hussien got an early christmas on the morning of 9/11, I
firmly believe that on this day he knew he would not be in power for much longer.

As for whats going on now on the ground Iraq, the country is in the process of rebuilding. After a devistating second gulf war where the country lost most of its infrastructure and an estimated 100,000 men wemon and children, the struggle to sustain life continues. At the momment a government is slowing being pieced together under occupation of a foriegn military power. No where in history has a government seen as ligitimate come out of the certain circumstances that are ongoing in iraq today. Even though elections are being held some still question weather the government on the ballot which is being sold to them can deliever the promises they have made. " The whole of post-Saddam epoch started on the wrong foot. It divided the country and the nation into regions, sects, religions, minorities, zones and triangles. No serious attempt has been made to correct the plunders that accompanied the foreign occupation. There is no reason to believe those administering “the new era” will do any better. " Did we really have a democratic election?
